More clothing items

I believe due to the weather conditions and also variety it would be a nice addition to have more long coats and jackets added in the form of trench coats and big rain jackets. There are too many shirts and t shirts which cannot be worn with a jacket and the weather at the moment in the game is awful.

 

please add more trench coats and long jackets and maybe if possible with the ability to wear vests etc underneath them?

Is there any clothing besides the rain coat and fireman's jacket that is water proof? Would these items be water proof as well? I have gear that is supposed to be water resistant but I always get soaked. So I am just wondering? The poncho would look cool, and Elis jacket would as well, but its kinda like a pea coat. Would allow more variation of apparel.

It is nothing like a pea coat! Nobody wears a pea coat lol. yes some of them should be waterproof others should be really warm like the NCR ranger wearing the fluffy coat.

Erm, haven't voted yet but is there an actual mod or mods that you've found that have these clothing options? Or is this more of a give it to the devs they'll figure it out and make it?

More civilian clothes would be neat though

The problem with things like this is that meshing a coat like this is hard. Especially if its attached at the knee because when you're running it's going to do one of two things; 

Hover VERY high and look off

Be too close to the knee and cut through it every time the knee lifts like crouching or running.

Dusters would be nice if the lower half wasn't molded to the chars legs making it look like some form of gimp suit.

However I agree with whitename, that more civi style clothing that appeals to everyone and not teenagers would be 10/10.

I think the point of this thread is something more along the lines of adding a variety of clothes to combat weather, rather than just duster jpegs.

I am all for adding more clothing that works against weather. Preferably something warm and water proof as I am sick of relying on extra steaks and sausages in my pants to keep me warm.

Wouldnt mind a duster myself, especially a formal one.

But dusters are like capes they look terrible without engine support for dynamic fabrics. I'm pretty sure this old ass, duct taped, engine that derives from Bohemia's helicopter sim, which more than likely is still limited to running on two cores only, could remotely handle such a thing.

But anyway DayZ needs more civilian everything so +1 to the principle of this idea.

I’m not sure if there is an exact mod for it but I just believe there needs to be more clothing fit for the weather. It seems most people go for military clothing because everything else is too bright or just seems like something a 12 year old would wear.

Thanks for the feedback I doubt it’ll be implemented I guess so 90% of the server can just carry on dressing like a super soldier or fill their pants with cooked meat to stay warm
