For your survival focused or hardcore DayZ experience, look no further than the MedicalAttention mod.

I see we have alot of doctors and Nurses now. We even have a hospital because of @Watchman, Thank you again. I would like to expand the RP side of this. The mod here has :

Tiredness (why add this?) We have alot of people who stay up throughout the nights and days and there is never a side effect for this.

What does happen when you add this?: This mod heightens immersion by requiring the player to periodically "sleep". Your fatigue (rest) meter will slowly decrease over time and in approximately 3.5 hours you will need to rest, or risk random ‘eyes closing’ and possible unconsciousness.
To "sleep" you will need to use the wheel emote ‘Misc>lie down’.
Symptoms: Eyes closing will commence at approximately 18% (configurable). At approximately 15% you also run the increasing risk of suddenly falling unconscious.
Helpful hints: Sleep near a fire or inside tent (medium tent). With no fire nearby you will recover to a maximum 50% of your fatigue meter, regardless of time of day or night. With a fire, during the day, you will recover a maximum of 75%, while sleeping at night near a fire will enable you to regain the full 100% of your fatigue meter. Same applies for sleeping inside tent. Beware....if you sleep without a fire or outside tent, you will likely catch a cold or flu…
Raising your fatigue meter from 0-100% will take approximately 5 minutes with an uninterrupted sleep, and your fatigue meter will raise incrementally the longer you sleep. Drinking energizing drinks or caffeine (any drink can be configured for this use) can boost your fatigue meter for a moderate amount of time.

Drunkenness (why add this?) WHY NOT? I see beer and empty bottles of Volka and I dont see people really RP as them being Drunk. If they do the side effects they RP may last a few Seconds.

What does happen when you add this?: Configure your server to serve your favorite alcoholic drinks.
Symptoms: Expect the negative effect of blurry vision, but the positive effect of reduced pain: the ability to walk/run faster when injured (similar to pain medications but with longer effects). But beware....the dangers of overindulgence are increasing laughter and potentially falling unconscious in the streets.
Treatment: As you would expect, over time, these effects will subside.

Broken Arms (why add this?) This one is for my PvPers, Ypu holding someone up and They start to S**T talking you, Why not shut them up by breaking there arms??? Some people RP on breaking fingers and bones, Why not bring this to the RP side of things.

What does happen when you add this?: Fracture of arm bones can happen when taking damage from heavy melee attacks to the arms, high caliber bullets or explosions. Optionally, blocking zombie hits will have a chance to break the arms.
Symptoms: Shaking hands when aiming the gun.
Treatment: bones will heal by themselves in about 10 minutes. Injecting Morphine or consuming pain killers will temporary remove the shaking symptom. Applying splint has no effect for arms.

Broken Legs: Okay this one is Easy, I see people jumping off building, fences, cars, other crazy things. I would be nice for this to come into play

What does happen when you add this?: Fracture of leg bones can happen when falling from the height or taking damage from heavy melee attacks to the legs, high caliber bullets, explosions or bear traps.
Symptoms: Unable to sprint and falling prone very often.
Treatment: bones will heal by themselves in about 15 minutes. Injecting Morphine will prevent going prone and allow normal walking for 1 minute. Crafting and applying a splint will also allow walking normally for longer time until the bones are completely healed. However there is no treatment that will allow full sprinting with fracture.

Other stuff that is in this mod that we already kinda have: Hemolytic Reaction, Biohazard Zone, Cold and/or Influenza, Wound Infection, Salmonella, Cholera, Immunity

I understand this should have went to MOD suggestion,But I wanted to get as much attention for this and I wanted a Community poll for this.

EDITED

This is a guide for configuring Dayz Medical Attention Mod.

Configuration is optional for server owners who want to disable specific features or modify some parameters. So this mod is simply installed on server side like any other mod by copying the @MedicalAttention folder to the root of server files.

To create a configuration copy the MedicalAttention folder provided in this mod to the server profile folder. You will find a config.txt with already predefined default settings.

Each setting meaning is described below.

Right, But it doesnt make sense that you can stay up for 3 days straight in game and have no side effect. You wouldnt be able to do something like that in RL without having some side effects. Plus to "Raising your fatigue meter from 0-100% will take approximately 5 minutes with an uninterrupted sleep."

It's a video game I don't wish to act like I'm playing a life sim when I get IG.

Is it maybe possible to remove the sleeping part?

Because im not gonna waste time by sleeping in a video game.

I think everything sounds good except the sleeping part.

i like this mod. I think adding would be pretty cool. maybe edit the sleeping part where we dont have to sleep as much? if possible?

this right here is why i want this mod in

Immunity

Immunity is calculated using all four stats... your fluid, food, blood and health levels all work together to determine your immunity level. Your immunity level is pivotal to determining your disease level for many conditions, so it is best to maintain all levels as high as you are able. Some conditions may even wear off on their own if your immunity is high or greater.

I think some of these features are great.

Breaking arms etc. is very cool and should be added.

The sleeping part not so much. My character sleeps when I log off.

It's been a while since DayZRP added some game changing mods, we should try this.

I think it's cool!

AND we have the ability to disable certain aspects like the sleeping portion or others? Heck ye, sign me up for more immersion!

Even if you can disable the sleeping part it's still a no from me.

The current medical system in game is a disaster already with its pain in the ass features that force you to eat antibiotics like candy. I can't imagine more stuff hindering life being very fun. Regardless, the whole medical system will probably get worked on by DayZ devs in the future and I'd like to see where that goes first before modding it.

Also on the guide it says: "bones will heal by themselves in about 10 minutes"
If we want to have breaking bones etc. let's have them so that they actually matter and aren't just another 10 minute annoyance to hate DayZ for.

Big yes for leg and arm breaking but no for sleeping. Breaking someones legs and stuff like that would add some quality RP opportunities, but sleeping part would just kill the RP in my opinion.

you can edit the values and make it alot longer, I like the broken bones apart bc I may make you think twice about doing something stupid. I mean this is a Roleplaying Server that make you value you life.... people RP with doctors and say thanks for fixing my leg doctor, then 10 mins away you see that same person sprinting though a field. Like what?

I honestly really like the look of this mod, hopefully certain features could be disabled so that we could get a good balance so that it doesn't get in the way of roleplay as that is the most important thing here at DayZRP. I can just imagine having a select amount of features enabled and making the experience more immersive, I wouldn't however go over the top with the amount of features.

1. Most of this stuff is unnecessarily complex (Like the sleeping and fatigue)

2. Because of the complexity of the mod, issues can and will arise and may take longer to fix

3. It's a third party mod and being that there is no information on the mod authors stance on monetization, he may or may not like us using it.

I actually like all these but the sleeping part as I see no reason to have people sit and wait in an emote instead of playing the game.

Broken limbs is something I really want back so that is a big +1, would make pvp a bit more interesting.

Seeing as some features can be disabled, I am 100% down to try this mod and see if it will work fine.

Would love broken limbs back in that mess with people's running / aiming capabilities. Brings back meaning to hitting an arm / leg shot.

Will be saying a big phat fuck no to any form of forced sleeping mechanic / fatigue. This game is already a DRAG when you need to get somewhere, forced emotes are a big nono.

Drunkenness? Sure. Cool idea that might make people think twice before chugging a bottle of vodka.

As for other diseases... eh. I'd fucking hate to be playing a game and suddenly gain another disease that I can't properly diagnose that completely shits on my experience. It's a game and sometimes some mechanics take it too far out of being a game. This is one of them.

This will add an awesome need for doctors and a formation of communities with a need for a doctor. I may regret this decision later if this gets implemented, but I say add this. Except the sleep thing. Ain't nobody got time for that!

Let me start with I am new to server. From what I under stand there was a Medical Community Kings Ridge

Well there was a group of Doctor's. Kings Ridge had to leave the Hospital they wanted to stay neutral and help everyone. The only problem is same  some of them are not really neutral and like to run with members of other groups and take a side. That caused problems for them and they had to leave the hospital they put all that time into.

So yes this would in one way make a great RP aspect for Doctors, it would make it not so fun RP.  They could become targets to Group A since they help Group B. Or groups will just raid the communities and kidnap and enslave doctors. Which would not be very fun for the Doctors.

As I would love see a more complex medical system like you can have in ARMA3, I do not see doing it here. There is already enough to deal with, that now you get hurt and need to find a Doctor.

So I vote no.

The options to vote on your thread are too black and white for me.  There should be more other than yes and no.

I like the broken bones/arms-idea. I dislike the sleeping part. Explanations for my opinion are to read from many others above.

Since I only can choose between yes and no - I voted no.
