Detailed description of the events:  When heading out on a loot run to the south, we entered gieraltow and stop at the well, notice a bulletin board and we all begin examining the notes. Find one appearing to be advertising a players OOC twitch stream. Pretty obvious that this shouldn't be allowed to happen ingame, it ruins people experiences in character events. I'm almost sure there's no way to be able to "view" twitch in the current lore. I'm not sure what else to say other than this. I'd like to set a precedent with this report showing others that notes are not your window to OOC communication in the server. I've seen many but this is one of the most ridiculous things i've seen so far.

Hello Bryce,

I apologize to you for the note, and not answering you back while you were in my stream. Was under the impression that this was acceptable, other people share discord names with notes so I thought nothing of my note. Wont happen again if that is the case.

Hey Metal,

I appreciate your apology and understand that it can be confusing. As I said before this is more of a report to get it explicitly said that this type of stuff in game isn't allowed. Setting the precedent moving forward. I also understand you're new, but I also would assume you're a smart fella and could put that discord info put in game is strictly for radio and communication purposes, not boosting their twitch viewer count. This community is very decent to the members that stream and there are mediums already put into the community to put your name out. I'd recommend the MEDIA section of the forums.

As for a punishment, I'd like a warning to be posted, setting the standard for Note's in game in the future. I'd rather not have @Metalthroughyou banned for something like this.

Do you wish for this report to be closed? As with all report closures, if a rule has been broken a stern warning regarding the matter will be issued in the closing statement.

The staff team have reviewed this report and will honour the request of the OP to close it.

@Metalthroughyou had this report gone to verdict then you will have undoubtedly been found guilty of Bad RP and given a 5 day ban along with 10 warning points.

The use of notes in-game should be treated exactly the same as text chat in-game. The rules are very clear regarding the correct use of OOC messages within the game.

You posting a link to your twitch account is not text chat which is absolutely necessary. It is unnecessary and immersion breaking for any who find the note. The reason that people post their discord names in notes is so that they can give their "Radio frequency" to other people. A correct example of doing so would be writing on a note, "155.50Mhz   //DiscordName#1234". This way you can give someone your in-character frequency whilst also letting them know what your discord details are so they can actually contact you.

If you have any more misunderstanding regarding OOC text chat or any other issues related to roleplay, it is a good idea for you to read through our brand new newcomer guide created by the fantastic community member Ron.

With that said,

/Closed
