Del Toro's Cartel [ IC RECRUITMENT ]

Dating back to before the outbreak, the Del Toro’s Cartel was part of a greater crime organization known as the “Three Kings.” Together with the Sinaloa and Southside Cartels, the Del Toro’s distributed firearms and drugs in the U.S. Mexican border region while assisting families fleeing danger in their crossing into the U.S.

 

Despite years of cooperation to establish a firm grip on crime in the region, tensions rose when the granddaughter of Victor Sal, leader of the Del Toro’s, began questioning the methods of the Three Kings. With hopes of bringing the cartel out of the shadows to become a more public supporter of the communities they served, Alita Del Toro, daughter of Hector Del Toro, was outspoken against the group’s more controversial business practices. She began to give speeches and provide promises to the community that she would help in reforming the cartel to protect and represent their interests rather than focus on crime. Despite his daughter’s rash ideas, Hector began to believe in her words and silently encouraged her revolutionary position.

 

It was not long before the Sinaloa and Southside leaders took notice. Devising a plan to quickly silence Alita, Sam Loera and Juan Pablo contacted Sal and Hector Del Toro for a meeting to discuss how the Three Kings should respond. After receiving confirmation from the Del Toro’s that they would arrive with their men, Sam and Juan proceeded with capturing Alita for the meeting.

 

Upon their arrival to the barber shop where the groups always took their meetings, Hector and Sal found Alita bound to a chair and blindfolded. Standing beside her, Sam and Juan give the ultimatum that the girl or the Del Toro’s must die. The two unbound Del Toro’s stand in silence, both knowing the decision they are about to make is the most emotionally difficult one they may ever face. The only words heard by Alita came from Hector. “I’m sorry Alita,” before two shots go off and the bodies of the men behind her thump to the ground. Hector rushed to unbind his daughter before the door to the room, but he was too late. A gunfight explodes in the other room of the shop. The remaining Southside and Sinaloa men had already been given the order to eliminate the Del Toro’s and the killing had begun. Hector had just slashed the bindings to Alita’s legs when a gunman bust through the door and unloaded 2 shots into her chest before Sal killed him. Defeated and destroyed, the surviving Del Toro’s escaped the shop and fled the country. The once great Del Toro Family was now left with 5 survivors; Sal, Hector, Pacho, Javier and Victor.

 

THE DEL TOROS ARRIVING TO ZAGORIA-AFTER OUTBREAK

Deciding to flee to Zagoria, the group paid their way onto a shipping freighter bound for Berezino. Almost immediately upon arrival, the crew was swarmed with infected humans killing with their bare hands. In the chaos, Hector and his family fled the town in any direction they could. Now alone and in a foreign land, each member of the family attempted to both make sense of their individual circumstances and survive to regroup.

 

Soon Hector met a man named Steven Ice who had formerly been a cook and had a small network of friends in Chenarus. The two quickly befriended one another and utilized their network to reestablish contact with the remaining Del Toro’s. With the group reconnected the Del Toro Cartel restarted operations within this new region. It took some time to bolster their numbers, but after a few years of struggling and forming a new alliance with the Misfits, the cartel’s strength rivaled that which was present in Mexico.

 

 With the help of Steven, Ernesto, Pacho, and Javier created a new concoction of local drugs they called Mano Blanca. Working with a new individual named Dr. Red, Mano Blanca was much more potent than anything they had ever seen before. Test subjects were immediately hooked, and most didn’t survive the trials due to self-induced overdoses. Soon, the Del Toro’s established a new lab in Chernogorsk to mass produce the drug and the family established themselves within the city.

 

In Novigrad The Newly established “Del Toro Cartel” begins work-for the raiders this is a good relationship for some time allowing them to establish larger and a more important clientele, both in and the surrounding territories of Zagoria. A few years have now passed since the outbreak and The Del Toro's Cartel is a resounding presence in the area and in almost every way as successful and intimidating as they once were back home in Mexico. Pacho, Ernesto and Javier are all found and spend most of their time operating elsewhere in Russia or Zagoria. With Steven having cooked for several years now developing his skills in chemistry to rival anyone in the area. In an attempt to expand further the family needed to create a certain more humane version of a rival drug by the name of comfort. They would come to call this newly created drug Mano Blanca.

 

The family having met an individual known by the people as Dr. Red he and Steven began researching and developing how the drug would effect the body with the same effect, but more humane as a result. Hector, Dr. Red and Steven begin working on a recipe. Many of the “test subjects" did not make it through the first few cycles. But after some tweaking and a lot of testing they finally arrive at a product they can call their own. The Cartel sets up a lab on in an old industrial building west of Chernogorsk. Wanting to keep the newly established lab safe Hector orders the remaining members of the family to move down to Chernogorsk.

 

MOVING TO LIVONIA

 

Since showing their strength, the family has been under constant attack from the groups of Chenarus. Seeing the need to expand elsewhere, many of the Del Toro family have relocated to Livonia. Despite initial ownership and fortification of the prison, the group was betrayed by Vlad, a former member of the cartel who handed the stronghold to the family’s enemies. After tracking the man down and slaying him for his crimes towards the family, the group is now working to regain their position of power in Livonia.

 

Once again, our strength and number are growing. Soon all of Livonia will know the power of our family and respect the loyalty we share with one another.

MOVING BACK TO CHERNARUS

 

Livonia was everything La Familia had hoped it would be, with the smaller cities and a customer base that seemed to be always of want. The success La Familia found here was above and beyond anything Hector believed possible. The connection with [REDACTED] providing a steady stream of the heavily sought after drug NIRVANA La Familia was able to build, provide and create a near perfect life for everyone around them. Lastly with the 5.0.3 nowhere to be found run off to different countries? Scattered? Who knows, all that mattered was Kopa prison and that was the last thing La Familia wished to accomplish before moving on to the next venture. With the prison vacant and left to rot, they moved in and continued their trade from within the walls. With threats from The Bounty Hunters being mostly words, and attacks from ex 503 where mutual blood was spilled on the walls both inside and out. The prison stood tall and Del Toro Cartel was ready for the next day of business. Had they known it would be reclaiming territory and product lost to them in Chernarus things may have been different. This is what they must do next to reestablish their labs, reclaim their lands and time to start pushing their own product again. Mano Blanca. 
 

 

WHAT DO WE DO AND WHY?

The Del Toro's Cartel is a drug cartel. We mainly focus on the creation and distribution of drugs and weaponry. The most important element of our lives is our family and its health. There is nothing we will not do for one another. Our loyalty in unquestionable.

When dealing with other groups, we are purely businessmen and do not act on emotions. We seek to promote alliances with other groups and benefit the family through our connections.

OCC

Our group deals in both positive and negative operations. !!WE DONT ROB PEOPLES FOR GEAR!!. Unless an individual is slain, we do not take items from our victims, and only engage in hostilities with clear reason. We only seek to bring good hostile RP. We are positive friendly people with strong ties to one another.

JOINING THE CARTEL

When you join the cartel you begin with a trial period. During this time, it is your decision whether you see the cartel worthy for your commitment. If you decide the cartel is for you, then you will face the "Blood in, Blood out” initiation. To become a member, you will execute an individual on command to determine your dedication towards the family. This will be followed with your swearing of a blood oath which pledges your life to the family. Only then will you become a family member. Dishonorable deserters of the family will be hunted and punished...

Another group that has long lingered as dynamic finally decided to go official ! 

Now on to some feedback. 

• The name of your group doesn't make sense grammar wise, you should name it either "Del Toro's Cartel" or "The Del Toro Cartel" (I know I am picky with this, but I hope you find this relevant);
• Your graphics are underwhelming, you should invest into having some proper graphics so it could look better;
• Objectives, if you have any completed objectives, move them to another header and only keep the ones you are working on;
• Member showcase: space them out better and perhaps you should add some short stories of what they did and how they are working inside the cartel. Your cartel is primarily shown as a family, so it would nice to know even more about everyone who is part of it.

Other than that, your backstory is nice and the objectives that are still undergoing are good and reflect on what you are currently doing in Livonia.

Best of luck with this guys, I would definitely get some graphics that pop out at you and some that would fit the group page better, some that may have transparent backgrounds. The goals seem ok but I would add more and set the achievable completion date to outbreak days as said in an earlier post by Voodoo.  Other that that the Roster and lore looks great and I can't wait to see what this group brings to Livonia.

As I said with on the group page of Brass, this should really bring an interesting dynamic to Livonia. Only thing I can suggest is, as others have mentioned, grammar in the title. The Del Toro Cartel, or Del Toro's Cartel, would read better.
