MVP Mademoiselle Posted February 28, 2020 MVP Share Posted February 28, 2020 Hello, friendly neighbourhood Mademoiselle here. So I have seen a lot of people asking about how to make graphics. Now before we start, no I am not a photoshop pro. Props to those boys and girls though. HOWEVER I do have a bit simple way of making graphics. All these graphics have been made under the design of my own mind and Paint 3D Pro. Examples:Diadora EstelleFilomena HendrixHoney PendletonMinnie McKaine With fonts this can be depending on your character. Now what I do is, I use a website called: 1001fonts There are many other websites that you can also use to download fonts. When you go to the website it will look like this: Spoiler Once you find a font you like press the green download button, that looks like this: Spoiler At the bottom of your chrome (hopefully you use chrome), a file should appear like so: Spoiler Click it and open the file. When you open, double click the file that says 'TrueType font file': Spoiler It will open a window like this: Spoiler Press install on the top left and close out of the file. Now onto our trusty application on our computer, Paint 3D. Type in your search bar on Windows 10 (or access by direct shortcut) to paint 3D which looks like this: When you open it, you will appear in this window: Spoiler Click new and head over on the tab bar above called Canvas: Spoiler On the far right there is a button which will make the white background transparent. Flick it so it highlights blue and it will end up looking like this: Spoiler Head back to the T which means text. This will now give you the option of having to make you text. The bar will look like this: Spoiler You have your text, size and colour which you can choose. Click whatever font you chose which will come under the name you had downloaded it from. Normally I use sizes 130 or the one above for headers and then the one above that as subheaders. Here is what downloaded fonts would look like: Spoiler Now that I chose my size, font and colour I can write in the box what I want like this: Spoiler Click off the box and highlight the whole font you wrote with your mouse and select on the top right 'make a sticker': Spoiler Once you click 'Make Sticker' it will give you the option to make it 3d but you can experiment with the drop bar where it says Matte as it gives you other options too. It will look like this: Spoiler With this you can resize your font without it looking pixelated and drag it around the place. Search for an image you want to implement on your graphics for your character page or group thread. Example: Spoiler Save your image and head to Paint 3D. On the top left there will be a file symbol. Click that and it opens up a page (in a sense): Spoiler Press insert. And choose the image you have saved. Just as an FYI if you want to avoid this mess, just save a PNG but if you are destined to get a certain image that you cannot find as a png, this is your best bet to follow. Your non PNG image will appear like this: Spoiler Click the tool that says 'Magic select' on the far right before it enters a window like this: Spoiler Click confirm and it should section out the image focus. If it ignores this, you have on the right hand side a add or remove. Add puts the image you wanted highlighted back, Remove gets rid of the background or area you don't want. Once you're happy click 'done' which makes the image appear foreground. You can drag the image away like so (and delete the background): Spoiler Congraulations. You have your focus image piece now. If you wish, make sure to highlight, select as sticker and make 3D to avoid it being pixalated. Now with titles and images like people do for their character pages. Grab your font and turn place on your screen inside the box (otherwise it will cut off). Like so: Spoiler If you wish to put the font behind the image take the left hand side which points towards you and away which will do this: Spoiler And if you want to tilt a font or image, use the circular arrow to twist which will look like this: Spoiler We all have that wonder what on earth this part of the forums is: Drag and drop images you have made from your file documents where you can upload them on your forums without them disappearing. It will look like this: However it won't always be a white box as this has white text in it. If any images appear at the bottom of the screen it means you have not added the graphics to the thread or have a duplicate. Make sure you press the + in the allocated spot where you want the graphic / title. Press the trashcan to delete it as a whole or remove a duplicate however you may have to play Sherlock Holmes with this. Happy Graphic Making! 6 Link to comment
