     I have found that the infected on this server can be a little OP. In my experience, they can tank two pistol shots to head, and the only way to efficiently take them down is to either hoard pistol ammo or to use a larger gun. With that, I have also found that the agro radius for the Infected is a little nuts. We really do not have any lore about the infected, so there is a lot left up in the air about them. IMO, they are rotting, undead corpses that can tank.

I'm making this poll because I'm curious about what others think on the topic.

I got a single cut by a zombie that took over 17 hits with pliers and bled to death in 25 seconds

They can tank damage, so I believe their health should be reduced, but their aggro radius is fine. 

Also, in regards to what you've said here:

The infected are still alive and can be destroyed conventionally. Body damage has the same effect to the turned infected as it does to non-infected humans. There is no need in particular to target the brain.

They're not rotting, or dead. They're alive, albeit sick humans.

You can literally jog from them and they can't hit you. If you die to infected then I dunno what to tell you

What weapons you are using is also a big factor- for instance a handgun firing .22 is not gonna have the same stopping power on flesh as say a glock 19

From my experience you can't simply "jog" away from the infected, in facts its hard enough to sprint from them. Usually its easy to just trap them or dispatch one IMO

If they're the same as were two months ago, then they were fine, if anything I feel they could be more challenging. Learn to adapt and survive to the game environment. I find myself having to use my brain when playing versus other survival games.

I think they are fine the way they are, it presents a challenge and I like that. The only time you have to worry is when you're in a big town and somebody shoots, then the shit show begins which is always fun ? .

The radius could be tweaked a little as they got better hearing and seeing abilities than I do xD .

You can jog from them if you’re uninjured, I did it from topolin to grabin.  I’m constantly making jokes about having a new pet or a new friend because of it.  As long as you’re not injured, run in circles and kite them if theres more than one. (Also use your fists over a large weapon if there’s more than one or even if you’re having problems with the one.  The larger the melee weapon the more chance it gives them to hit you)
 

I think the way they are is fine.  I get a little stressed about the aggro radius, but I feel like it adds to gameplay.  You don’t need large amounts of ammo for smaller guns (although it certainly helps when you’re backed into a corner) or a bigger gun unless it’s something you want for your roleplay.

People just don't like the challenge. It took me 8-9 hits with a can of peaches to kill one, be resourceful or Jog away, simple.

P.S. You can get ridiculously close to one when crouch walking and it still won't aggro.

I think the infected are a challenge and I like that, I believe it is fine the way it is. This is the apocalypse it shouldn't be easy. The only time you need to worry is when you enter a city and they congregate together. But that's when crouch should be used, going in all guns blazing will either result in all your precious ammo gone or your character dead.

Sure they are a challenge and you can jog away from them, and that's all fine and dandy.

BUT, when my internet cuts out for 4 seconds (which it does very often — go figure) when I'm jogging away from one infected lady, and it comes back after the 4 seconds, I'm already unconscious and the single infected lady who witnessed this is finished having a 3 course dinner on my body, that's just a bit of a buzzkill innit.

Idk, call me a nerd who can't play a game where you should sneak around all you want but I would rather just spend that time RPing instead since my very precious time on the server is already quite limited.

I think they are a bit tanky. They should be able to go down in one pistol shot without a helmet and two with a helmet. The agro distance is decent enough although like most things it bears looking at after every update just to see how things react with each other.

I Created A Poll For the Exact same thing a couple of weeks back, I Did think at first the zombies were too much but the more I have played the more I've Grown to Work With what we have. 
The biggest issue is that the pistols in game don't do enough Damaged and become pretty pointless if you have to unload a whole mag just to kill 3-5 Zombies.

I say theyre a little too beefy. We have bears and wolves with increased resistance to damage now so i think its a little much to have zombies that are pretty resistant. UNLESS we can find some sort of mod that adds different types of zombies.

I think they're a little too hard to kill but at the same time it kind of adds to the survival experience.
It became quite stale fairly quickly when I can just train a load of them and mow them down with half a magazine, and now the added health makes being sneaky a more viable solution.
However, with the insane aggro radius, I can be as sneaky as anything but it won't make any difference.
I just say leave them how they are, if anything needs changing it's the aggro radius.

I often find myself sneaking around crouched like a World of Warcraft rogue and dispatch them one by one. But then today I have kept running into them and they kept doing insane damage to me, had to bandage and repair my clothes over and over. I think they can be too buff sometimes, tanking even what looks like a clear head shot. And they have insane hearing, what I suppose works as their aggro trigger. Measured to the fact that they are pretty much lost control of their body, their hearing is perfect.

Honestly take me back to the days of sneaking in with a suppressed pistol and taking them out one by one. I ruin a knife per town almost now killing them all as well ?

I don't even want to think about the aggro. It seems to be random for me whether a zombie will hear me or not sometimes.

I wouldn't mind having more infected but tuning the health a bit lower I feel a 9mm and a .45 pistol should definitely 1 tap to the head instead of two or three.

I like the tough infected overall, my main issue is collision. Only time they ever kill me is when the climbing mechanic fails and i get pinned against a wall by three or more. There's simply no way to out DPS that.

But it doesn't happen very often, so i cant really complain.
