Sapphire HDragon Posted February 22, 2020 Sapphire Share Posted February 22, 2020 (edited) We've now had the new NLR warning system in for almost 2 months now. After looking at some of the cases of breaking NLR I believe there should be an amendment to the rule itself. The rule currently states the following: 3.4 When your character dies you lose all memories from the situation that lead to your death. You may not return to the general location where you died for at least 1 hour after your death. You also cannot get involved in the same situation that lead to your death, even if it has moved to a different location or 1 hour has passed. Situation is considered the same as long as any side has active kill rights. Server restarts, crashes, game glitches or any other circumstances do not affect these restrictions or time limit. This is known as "New Life Rule" (NLR). In saying "general location" there is no real distinction in the rules, though Roland has given a approximation in a previous post it still doesn't set it in concrete, especially for those that are new to the community that may have not been around for this post. I think that we should set in stone a clear distance on the 3.4 rules. This will prevent a lot of the questions that some may have for the rule and remove and grey areas. Ideally this is what I think the rule could look like: 3.4 When your character dies you lose all memories from the situation that lead to your death. You may not return to an area that is in the town or within 1km of your body for at least 1 hour after your death. Edited February 22, 2020 by HDragon 3 Link to comment
Legend Para Posted February 22, 2020 Legend Share Posted February 22, 2020 IMO there's no need for the "town" section of your fix. I do agree though that we should add the 1km distance to the rule so it is transparent you will be considered for NLR if you go under that 1km. Link to comment
