First time RP'er

Hey everyone, New to the RP side of playing DayZ but long time spectator/lurker .  From the US  born and raised in Boston but now living in California.  IRL my name is Jay but on the DayzRP server my name is Aristolis Savalas aka "Mr. Pumpkins" Hoping to have a lot of fun here and try the game from a different angle other than; spawn, gear up, severely suck at PvP,  die, respawn and then rinse repeat.
