I have been playing dayz for some time and have recently have had a huge problem with the zombies on livvona, dying mutiple times and have had to unload more ammo than I can count. I would like to see the head hp be like 2 and the body 10. I know there is limits to the game but One can dream ?

Only problem I have with them is that they camouflage to good, and are spread out in places less expected.

 

Personally I have a problem with their respawn timer being almost 0, all you need to do is to stay away and turn, suddenly they're back. I would love if suppressors worked.

Another peeve of mine is their AI is wack, they keep twitching around and almost impossible to headshot when facing them. Hitboxes sometimes move too early than the model and generally a frustration to fight than a challenge.

Body shots on high calibers take too much. For a civilian infected, a well placed .308 in dead center chest, still stands. Only weapon I can fight on the street is a Mosin.

 

It's not a Livonia only issue, it's in general.

Its a nuisance that zombies don't die with one shot to the head from smaller calibers, as it pretty much forces you to either carry a military rifle, or resign yourself to becoming a druggy on dex or just carrying mass amounts of little bullets to shower them with until they die.

 

However its not so bad that it can't be played. Does make looting a nuisance, and the respawn rates make it ridiculous especially if its a settlement area/town, cause they come back far too fast.

Zombies are fine.

Taking them on one by one you can easily deal with them.

Running into a group of several and dying is your own damn fault, you arent Jean Claude van Damme.

They are a bit annoying, so I don't fight them and lock them inside buildings instead.

I'm iffy on it. They wouldn't be as bad if they consistently died to headshots and the population of zombies on Livonia wasn't so fucking dense. Especially with how buggy the game is and how laggy the server is. I've had times where I've been attacked through walls, hit by hordes of zombies from 10 meters away, stuck inside zombies so I can't shoot back, hell I spawned on top of a zombie yesterday and it nearly killed me while I was logging in. 

 

Bit of a tangent there, but I'd say they need tweaking but not an outright nerf. Maybe reduce how many spawn, or make headshots more viable.

Zombies are fine, just have to get used to sneaking around instead of running like there is no threat at all.

Zombies are really easy to deal with IMO. As Andrey says all you gotta do is learn to sneak around. You can be relatively close to them while crouched and they don't really notice you until make some noise. And if one does notice you just get youself into a building, shut the door as it comes in behind you and shank it. If there's more outside, repeat the process of letting one in, shutting door and kill it.

Zombies are perfectly fine from what I've experienced and usually I like to go loud and clean the places out. It would be awesome if pistols could kill them with one headshot. Other then that they seem like a well balanced threat. It would be easier to see what people mean by them being overpowered if there was some kind of a video where they go wild.

Zombies are fine, like Andrey and Inferno-Chan said, as long as you sneak around them and don't recklessly run through town then you should be fine. I do wish that suppressors finally start working though, as I would like my pistol to be a viable side-arm for quietly taking out zombies instead of something I carry around for the sake of roleplay.

Well it ain't that they are harder to handle its just that they breed like rabbits and respawn so quickly in massive hoardes

IMO they aren't too much to handle. Early on you just gotta avoid them, later on you gotta be careful shooting. I agree that their respawn rate feels mad though

The infected are fine imo. Even if you get a lot chasing after you eventually they get tired of chasing you and your good. But in town try not to shoot and stick to melee weapons.

The way they spawn + health is dumb I can clear out the whole prison area and go to the other side of the prison only to have all the zombies on the other side spawn again.

Zombies feel like an actual threat now, which is very good and encourages working together and generally being more careful when looting, also makes you consider taking a shot in a town, with deters robberies.

I can't recall how many times I've been stuck between 2-3 zombies without the ability to move and gone down within a few seconds.

They're only annoying in firefights. Any other time they're pretty easy to handle.

Just curious on the stance on that, do you think the fact that they interfere with gunfights is a good thing?

I don't mind the number of infected there are in towns and on the map in general. Of course it's a zombie game and I want them to be a threat. But, the fact they now tank bullets make no sense, unless we are now following Dawn of Dead style zombie where they can walk underwater and not react to bullets unless its to the head. Zombies should be weaker because they don't have the nutrients to sustain healthy bodies and they decay. It shouldn't be taking two bullets of any gun to the skull to completely destroy the brain of an infected. 

The other issue is their respawn rate for sure. I clear out the area I live at and go back inside for two minutes to organize stuff just to come back outside to the same number of infected now roaming about across the street. Then another bullet dump occurs because I want to hangout without the loom and doom of infected. So I then become low on bullets and then just don't want to go anywhere because I just looted the area so I already know I won't find more bullets without leaving and going out. Think about it, you get 20 infected and you have to use 2 9mm per zombie (if you have perfect aim), so there is ~40 bullets gone. Then they respawn in a flash and now your down ~40 more bullets. So that's ~80 bullets just because you want to keep your home secure and promote people to come without them having to deal with infected. 

Which means there is no way I can leave town to now deal with the tougher wolves and bears that now roam about as well.

dont think they are too muc, just a pain in the arse really, but its a surival game at the end of the day, learn to avoid and you'll be fine

They are a pain in the ass. I liked them more back in vanilla and I asked to have more of them so you were forced to sneak around. The fact that you NEED military weapons or rifles to fight any enemy NPC is ridiculous. Civilian weapons and pistols are pointless now. I get why they were made tougher but how they were changed is just ridiculous. Bring them back to vanilla and up the numbers like on Deer Isle.
