King's Ridge

Kings Ridge Medical was founded in 2012 as part of an ongoing fight to lessen the costs of medical treatments in the United States. The organisation relied heavily on external support through donations and charity events. Main objectives at the time involved the free of charge treatment for the homeless and poor all across America as well as cross-involvement with local soup kitchens and charities in Texas. Luckily for King's Ridge, supporters and donators were found within a short amount of time and the charity continued growing, allowing it to branch out and following short mission trips to other countries to help more people of low income in need of medical treatment. At peak, King's Ridge started collaborating with the red cross on multiple occasions. In early 2017, a small group of medical workers was able to travel to the Czech republic with the goal to provide medical aid at local low-funded orphanages that were struggling to keep their head above water. The team's day to day basis included caring for sick children at the orphanage and providing support wherever the orphanage was lacking it.

The news of the infection hit while the team was stationed at the orphanage, resulting in evacuation to an old world war 2 bunker close by that was sadly not big enough to hold all of the children and orphanage personnel. Eventually the children were picked up by red cross workers and transported to a safe place in the countryside. River and the other volunteers from King's Ridge left the bunker due to lack of supplies and began traveling and picking up anything useful they could find. Soon after, they came across a refuge camp which they joined up with. On a scavenge trip later that year, the bus carrying 4 of the King's Ridge volunteers, who had become family to River,  was overrun by a horde of infected shortly after departing and everyone on the bus sadly lost their lives in this tragic event. Once the news hit back at the camp, panic started to ensue and many of the refugees decided that the people running the camp were not capable of keeping everyone else safe. Most decided to leave together with their families and depart into an unknown future. Others remained right where they were and continued to support the camp through all means necessary. During this tragic time, River started bonding with a British man named Will, who would become her travel companion in the years to come.

After being stationed at the refuge camp in the Czech republic with a few red cross volunteers, River, Will and the others received a transmission from a small refuge hospital in Miroslavl and began their journey there. At Miroslvavl, the two met Dr. Dylan River, a paediatric surgeon from the UK who was helping children and anyone in need at the hospital. It was only a matter of time until the three of them embarked on a journey to Chernarus in order to aid any stranded survivors in need, also branching out to survivors in Livonia during their long and hard journey through the wastelands.

The King's Ridge ideals were always prioritised. Help those In need. Do not charge for your services and remain on neutral terms with anybody who doesn't bother you. Providing people with medical supplies is one thing, but giving them a family in the process is one step closer to bringing people back together and building something substantial that will be the foundation for a new beginning.
