Lying in a report

Listen, I am not here to report lawyer but I am here to call out something unjust. Nor am I here to call the GM team out but more to the admins to review the decision.

In this report:

@HDragon has active rights against the 503. @HECTIK32 logs in mid fight. He knew right well what was going on. Who logs in to the game before saying hello to your buddies on discord and they dont scream to help them in a firefight? He logs on and unfortunately for him he gets tapped in the head almost immediately, whether he had a gun or not this is valid and so confirmed by @Roland multiple times when The Saviors did this all the time during fights logging in.

In the heat of the moment you may see something that wasn't there. You may think he had a gun and see an armband and react immediately. You may believe this to be absolute fact.

@HDragon firmly believed he had a gun but like I said if he did or not didn't make a difference it is a valid kill.

Now in reports even I have been in, people claim things that didn't happen because no one has a complete video memory of what happens provided they have no footage.

In a report @Cow placed against me (No offence here lad just proving a point) I had initiated on a moving car. He claimed he was going 80kmh+ and that I was not in view of him. After video evidence was posted it was clear he was going at half his claimed speed and I was in clear view. HOWEVER, cow did infact BELIEVE this was true because no one has a video memory. He wasn't banned for lying and looking back rightly so because we all may believe something to be the truth, it doesn't mean we are viciously lying on purpose. MANY, MANY reports PoVs conflict, almost everyone, one fella says the sky is blue another says its red.

So why did @HDragon get banned for lying in a report when he was acting from a slight false memory? In the heat of firefights everyone gets a slight buzz and a heat of the moment act.

@HECTIK32 was most definitely logging in to partake in the firefight and if he was quick enough would of shot the first green armband he saw. The kill was always going to be valid no matter what, why snatch him on such a small thing?

This is a completely and utterly unfair and far too harsh. I would totally understand if there was not active rights against the OP and his group.

@Roland @Randy @Hofer I would definitely take a further look into this as I believe this was a very harsh decision.

EDIT: @Rover these conflicting cases in reports. One minute you can be banned for doing this and in another case you don't get banned. People also need clarification, if I say something in my PoV that I believe is true but turns out its not am I LYING and will get banned? In that case everyone should be afraid of their own PoVs and write very short ill descriptive ones cause hey, you might get banned for thinking you saw a bird when it was a plane.

EDIT 2: @Rover Appeals can only be made by the OP, in this case it will be by a private support ticket. How will people have clarification then? I want to know if what I may also accidentally do can also be potentially be a rulebreak also.

In my eyes, taking it by PMs and doing it here is very so much little difference, If I clarify by PMs how will another know the answer unless they also ask?

@HDragon can submit a ticket to the Admin team to appeal the ban, and it will be handled there. Ask the Staff is not supposed to be used for appeals.

That is why we have an appeals section; For unfair or improper verdicts to get handled. If that is the case here, then it will be handled and the ban will be removed/lessened/whatever the Administrator team decides to go with.

I can not speak for the Gamemaster team that handled the report, and if you feel their verdict is unfair I'd encourage you to directly take it up with them. As the ones that signed/wrote the verdict, they may be able to shed some light as they would be unable to handle the appeals process. This is true of normally any verdict; in this case none of us will be handling the appeal as it will be submitted to the Admin team.

Without trying to make a meme, there is a reason that the rules are handled case by case. There are many small factors to be considered that make it quite difficult to paint all reports with the same brush. This is, again, why we have an appeals section. Or in this case for @HDragon, a support ticket/email through the contact-us button to submit his appeal.

This thread is a bit redundant; We both know @HDragon will be appealing, and only admins view support tickets, so you know the Admin team will already be reviewing it.
