Detailed description of the events: During a long firefight at the prison I am posted up in the main tower of the base. I am hanging out and waiting for my guys to push up after they saw open a gate. During this waiting period I catch @ImNovaaa walking then crouching across the top of barbed wire to gain a unfair advantage during a firefight. This is when I shoot him and he jumps down to safety. 

With that being said Nova reached out to me after being mentioned in a report about it. This is shown in the two discord screenshots above. I feel that his attitude is "If others are doing it I should be able to" despite it is a rule break.

Well here’s the salt report I was waiting for. 

POV: So here at this prison many people, and I mean MANY people have used the wired fence to break their fall. So the argument of “just because one person does it i can” is false. I believed that because I had seen so many people do it, with staff around said prison, you would think if people believed it to be AOGM there would have been a report about it already. What I mean by that, is I didn’t think of it to have been AOGM. Especially when we aren’t sprinting around on the barbed wire, we simply use it when jumping from the roof to the watch tower to break our fall. Mind you I was crouching & slow walking as to show that of course something of this nature would require good balance. I had boots on, gloves, etc. So to say doing that would be impossible?? Not so much. In fact as a young child i used to put my foot on a barbed fence to push it down so i could step over it. As it wouldn’t puncture my shoe. There are 6 different strings of wire, which would only help my balance. People in real life walk on wire, across mountain tops, lakes, etc. Now you may say, “well those don’t have barbs”.. fair enough. Have you seen barbed wire in real life though? There are gaps in between the barbs, a considerable 6-10 inches in between actually. Especially if it’s not the circular barbed fences at most prisons. This wire is not like that. Also if we are going to nit pick at small things like this, does this not set a bad precedent for the future? As I should report fences inside of walls, fences overlapping fences, hesco kits floating, people sprinting along the top of fences as they are very thin. 

Overall I know if it was anyone else not within my circle of closer friends on the server you wouldn’t have batted an eye. This is not a report for rule sake, this is a report because I don’t believe you can separate IC from OOC & it’s clearly showing with your actions. Unfortunate, but sure let’s start reporting people for walking on a fence for a few seconds.  

Add on: I’d like to add that I was on there for mere seconds as I was trying to jump onto the ledge and it vaulted me up. A weird vault at that, it treats the wire like a wall when it comes to the vaulting mechanics I guess. I had started walking around the corner to jump down onto the tarp because I felt more exposed on the non finished watch tower weather than the little tarp roof thingy in the back. Especially as I had already been shot a few times before this I didn’t want to just jump onto the ground as I would most likely die to fall damage.

Spoke to Nova. We'd like to close the report.

We are happy that you managed to talk to each other and come to a peaceful conclusion. We will honour your request to close.

However let it be known that the situation between the two parties have been increasingly salty lately, and there seems to be a lot of bad blood OOCly. This report seems created more out of the wish to get the opposing party banned for something technically trivial, but has been stated to be against the rules in the past.

May we suggest that both sides sit down calmly in a Discord room with staff supervision to talk out all the issues you are having. If this continues it will most likely end in permanently banned members due to many reports for nitpicking each others actions, and/or force archivals of groups due to OOC reasons.

It's time to square up.
