Plays.TV Is Shutting Down

Recommended Posts

In case you haven't heard, Plays.TV is shutting down and you need to obtain all your clips before Dec. 15th.

Seems other people are moving to Medal.TV for it's automatic game capture, but it does not support full recordings only highlights. Or using OBS to record full gameplay sessions. For those who do/did use Plays.TV be sure to grab your content before the 15th of December and work on setting up a alternative capture software like OBS, Shadowplay, Medal.TV, etc.

Okay, bye!

Edit: Looks like Medal.TV supports Plays.TV clip importing; https://medalsupport.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039343453

Happy day if you play to move to Medal, also they note they're working toward supporting full gameplay session recordings.

Didn't this happen like a year ago? I remember not being able to use plays.TV last year due to it shutting down

Perhaps? Not sure, but it's official now so 🤷‍♀️ anyways, I tried out the Medal.TV thing, seems to work well for snipping though I cannot get it to record my mic. Then again I haven't tried fiddling with it either.

Here's a sample, quality is decent and it's fairly easy to go in and cut down a 120sec clip to the point you want. 😄 I also imported all my Plays.TV clips with the Chrome addon and they seemed to save just fine so far! So, I'll likely be sticking with this one unless something better comes along.
