Hey!

Was wondering whats the best way to react and roleplay when someone or yourself crashes. Is it best to make up a wacky excuse or act like it never happened?

Tbh, just ignore it for the most part. If you need to mention someone has disconnected in an important situation just go OOC and say //They DC'd , or something to that effect. Most people will just act like they spaced out for a moment.

Ignore it, or what is see a lot is saying someone 'passed out' from vodka or whatever.

RP it as best you can or ignore it and continue one with the RP. One of our own players crashed in mid-conversation and I just looked to someone else and continued the RP.

  • Oh looks like he had to go take a piss
  • I think he just took a powernap
  • He'll be back soon, stretching his legs
  • "Wow <insert topical thing he did> must have tuckered him out
  • etc

Just don't powergame them, and let it pass without drawing attention to it. The issue tends to happen more when someone starts going 'WOAH DID YOU SEE THAT THAT GUY JUST VANISHED INTO THIN AIR". If no one draws attention to it its not that awkward as everyone likely knows what happened.

Yup all of the above are perfect to say and do and if you crash while in a siege or a firefight or a hostage situation you pray to whatever god you pray too that when you come back your not on the coast or if you do log back in they don't immediately kill you before you render into the game, cause 9/10 times you will be and that's me being completely honest.

Aside from that just ignore it or give an excuse for them suddenly leaving. It's common people crashing so players will know what has happened.
