Text pointers on screen is gone...

Before, when standing next to a door, on screen I would see a text saying "open door" pick up item, and so on...

Now it's gone... What have I pressed? I was looking for text chat earlier, and in the process I pressed a lot of buttons, until I discovered that enter (return) key opened the text chat.

I think I might have turned off in game text messages like "open door" and so on... Any tips?

Either tap ~ once, or press and hold ~.
