The area is a safezone. So, there really wouldn't be anything to oversee from a big group. And the only reports I can see coming in from this is if someone starts stealing sweetrolls someone else payed for

You are very naive my friend, I’ve seen “safe zones” in this community before, they don’t work and only cause trouble and kill the server population. 
And by big groups controlling it, I mean they will control the road leading in and patrol the forest around it, so there is your answer on that one 

As you say “safezone” but the area around it isn’t, so everyone who wants to rob you will just wait  outside of the safe zone and the moment you leave you are fair game as the bubble doesn’t protect you, 

Here are the reports I can see coming:

avoiding RP (running into the safe zone to avoid being robbed) 

running into the safe zone when someone has KOS on you or in an active fire fight 

trash talking in the safe zone and acting like a big man and refusing to leave the space zone bubble. 

the list can go on and yes I have seen this happen just like it did with the trade post in the Arma 2 mod

How are roubles going to be implented in game ? Like why would people change back to currency after 2 years of zombie apocalypse...?

I don’t mind the idea of weapon spray painting for customization  - but must there be bright neon fluorescent colors?  Could it be kept to less immersion breaking colors?  
 

Not many IC reasons for someone to paint a gun pink or bright yellow in the apocalypse - just because you can isn’t a very good IC reason, in my opinion.  The only one I could imagine is you’re playing a character who is insane.
 

Though, I don’t see many people doing that, I guess.

Finally Rubles will worth something. I remember suggesting soft forcing rubles to use them on trades and everyone boo'd me, they failed to see I was right. Now they shall be sorry for booing me

Whatever happened to @Major's  trading post event? That seemed like a better way to deal with traders, with interaction, haggling, and swapping stories while waiting in line. I still have fond memories of negotiating the sale of a few black helmets, using my russian ethnicity ingame to get a better deal from a fellow russian salesman. That was pretty fun.

Fast travel seems like a response to a non-issue. There is not much of a problem getting around the map if you know your way, a better alternative would be making cars more accessible by giving them more gasoline and water in the tank and heater respectively? Fast travel and NPC traders destroy two aspects of DayZRP as a community. Trading groups would cease to exist, and the need for vehicles would be diminished. You say that the cost for cars and fast travel tickets will be equivelent, yet fast travel instantly teleports, while cars still take awhile. This would also ruin the car market.

TLDR: Protect Chernarussian traders, and the automotive industry, stop these mods! Boycott foriegn traders! Slava Chernarus!

Fine with painting guns and the casino but fast travel and trading is a no for me, there's a reason why people didn't vote them in the last voting pool. To be honest the traders mod gives people a reason to look out for certain items on people they rob etc but it reduces player to player interaction a little more too.

Are money not in the game yet? Made a wandering trader character and was not sure if rubles was in yet.

Anyhow to voice my opinion.. im almost up to try anything new to change how the current meta of internal small groups hiding and large hostile groups abusing.. But i believe we have to tread carefully with these decisions. so it dont turn out like another EPOCH server..  I feel roleplay is the highest priority and that its the focuse we should have.. not catering to peoples highway robber fantasies.. oww he's in a big immortality bubble and it breaks my immersion.. Your choice to robb me for my sks when you got 20 akms and 15 awps and 10 m4s stashed in your peter pan shed breaks my immersion. Still There will be allot of abusing with this.

Safe zones i feel people just need to chill. make rules against camping within 3km of it.. and such.. and make rules against going in within 2 hours of a initiation..

  Fast travle, as much as i hate the walking simulator i cant help but feel this will be used to avoid hotspots.. avoid initiations.. and to quickly loot out bases.. or move large amojnts of loot betwen bases without risk.. 

Economy is important and i loveva currency.. but trading should 100% be betwen players.. at most player admins.. cause all worthless items will be harvested sold.. never bought and price will be next tp nothing.. and big groups will grind out on low pop hours making inflation upon everything.. and next to worth nothing. I made a trader character.. and now im gona have to compete to static pointless, npcs with unlimited stocks?

Casino i honestly got no opinion on.. It can be fun i guess. 

The whole argument of that players should be the one keeping safe zones , well safe is bullshit cause the attackers are 100% in control of the engagement.. they pick low activity hours with low risk but high payoff. its not like i phase out of existance only cause im offline.. so a base with 2 guards should have like 20.. but no one can perform a second non salary job as a guard ingame.. we dont got the time.. so its either a safe zone.. or no zone.. until theres an actual implemented rules towards attacking settlements.. minimum attackers.. defenders.. a rule forcing a 10 min warning to be given before the attack. or else its pointless.

I still think it has all for some god damm reason becomed a glorified deathmatch with Paperwork. And its somehow a competetiv match on who wins.. on a god damm roleplay server.

It's almost like you're bringing Walmart into a community that is already struggling with small business.  Fix the issue with player trader bases being constantly robbed and you wont need this NPC.

How about offering actual player traders some protections against raiding?  Forget about a NPC.  You already have a great group system in place that could be further expanded.  Groups could have specialties or jobs that offer them certain advantages/perks.  Like if a group specializes in trading they would be offered some form of protection from theft.  It could even mesh with the group settlements you are testing.

That was just an example but something like an NPC trader takes away from RP.  Player to player trading makes for some great RP.  I say enhance our ability to trade amongst ourselves.

At any rate, whatever you decide to do, thank you for the work you put in.

Yeahh, I dont really like this. 

Traders: takes away from roleplay interactions with others.

Safe zones: people will camp inside and talk shit and hide behind rules knowing their rules will protect them.

Fast travel: No more bumping into people in the road, no more traditional RP, no more ambushes from bandits. Oh,  bandits are in the area? Better fast travel to the far reaches of the map... they'll never get me.

It's a no from me dawg, even with the negative ratings I dont know why we are still putting this in.

They are, 100 Rouble bills that stack to 100, meaning 1 whole stack is worth 10.000 Roubles.

Ive not been disappointed with any of the mods yet so as im in a glass half full mood, im gonna keep an open mind.

Shame the traders are NPCS, we could have sold them advertising space on the radio haha

HAHA  Good one @andysuter Anyways as my father allways said lets hope for the best and plan for the worst...BTW do you have a license for that? hehe

Good quote.... i'll use that. And no, no license and theres a firm two fingered approach to getting one.

But i can see why people are upset or worried about the mods, especially fast travel and how the community voted but Roland has acknowledged that. But like i said, all the mods introduced so far ive really enjoyed. Im even getting used to the gore one, i even wish we would get covered in blood splats from it and need to wash off in a river or something.

I like the idea of the trader hub. It could create some good RP, for all sides. Getting close to it you need to sneak in as bandits will be lurking to rob people. Once in you can trade with the NPC's or even each other. Then youve got to get back out of course with a full wallet stuffed with roubles. The hostile rp'rs could even have guys walking around inside seeing whose collecting money and target them for a robbery. 

It also deals with the 'where is everyone' issue. If people use it, thats where you will find other people and RP if you want it but it needs people to use it.
