Nikolai Galkin was born in Russia in the city St.Petersburg. he was born in a middle class family. in his childhood, he lived the life of a average russian kid. his education was finished on highschool since his family was not able to afford colleges. for 3 years he worked as a car mechanic. he had a girlfriend, he had a good house, he was living a good life until he got drafted into the Russian military to fight in the Dagestan war. in the dagestan war, soldiers commited warcrimes and killed innocent people, this led to Nikolai having PTSD. he was kicked from the military because of his injuries. when he came back to his homeland, his house was owned by somebody else, his girlfriend was married with somebody else, his parents were nowhere to be seen, same with his little brother. he had no reason to live, in result of this he wanted to be back in the military life since he got used to it and also because he had no choice. he joined a Russian PMC corporation. the things he have seen at the Russian army corrupted him, this led to him being a soldier that is less hesitant to pull the trigger on someone. because of this, he ranked up to become a squad leader. he was assigned lead a group of contractors to Norway for anti-terorrism missions where they worked together with Norwegian forces kicking in doors. after their assignment was done and they were given another task soon after. the task was to kill scavengers and serve justice. in the briefing they would learn that it is the cause of a virus. some people have taked advantage of it and started robbing places. as they were doing their mission, they have started seeing people that acted very aggressivelly. which was not unexpected for them since they were informed about it on the radio. but how they looked was... uncanny. they have kept doing their usual duty until the orders would stop rolling in. the radio had no transmission. the silence was deafening... 

they were on their own now and they had to survive by themselves, with the amounts of banditry and the numbers of the infected dramatically increasing. they created their own hideout  in a abandoned hospitals room in a city in Norway. they would stay here and would lose hope in their lifes because of having no purpose. they would slowly get into drug addiction and lose their true selfs, resulting in them creating a sinister religion with their own rules. soon after he and his group of followers that used to be mercs would follow him to nyheim to spread their religion further
