An young writer who after experiencing decent success from their first published book feels immense pressure to do more and better with their next story. The anxiety builds until it causes an overwhelming emotional breakdown. They are told to get away from their regular life for awhile and recuperate without worrying about their publishers strict deadlines for their new book. Take it slow and finish at your own pace.
Partly due to family ancestry in Chenarus they choose it as their destination (this is sometime before the zombie apocalypse). That isn't they only reason though. Its rather secluded location with many small rural villages and settlements that can barley be called cities with overall small populations compared to home are a perfect low stress environment as the way of life is simpler and the population smaller. As an added bonus the geography of the area as well as its ancient and recent history are perfect to study for some of the elements int their in progress manuscript. Aside from taking it easy with the progress of their novel the plan to spend leisure time hiking and camping around Chenarus as well as visiting its ancient historical castles.
While on this personal retreat they are caught up in the zombie outbreak and find themselves unable to leave Chenarus anytime soon.
Partially due to their personality and compounded by their previous emotional breakdown they are rather reclusive and prefer not to deal with too many people. They are fine with a few people most of the time but crowds or particularly difficult individuals really affect them.
