Born in Hereford but growing up in Northampton, England was rough for John as he was raised by his aunt until she passed when john turned 12 after that he was placed in the foster care system. This took its toll on john as he was expelled from 4 schools in 3 years and arrested once. This put John on a self destruction path until he met Sergeant Stonebridge who made John sort his act out. This made John realize the value of an education but also the need to serve his country. When he completed his computing course at the University at Lincoln. He enrolled in the army reserves as an intelligence Officer in Section 501. This allowed him to serve his country when they needed him but also makes the most out his education. John made it to the rank of 2nd Lieutenant.
John's full time job was an IT consultant for a tech company. This was a nice job in London and was well paid for his efforts however John was just waiting for a chance to prove himself in the Army. John eventually got the chance to prove him self as he was deployed as support staff to a UN Peacekeeping operation in Africa. This force was defeated by a Somali warlords who allied themselves to defeat the UN peacekeeping force. John was lucky to make it out alive though not without some pretty significant scares. John was then sent to Chernarus with his section this force fell apart pretty quickly which meant John had to survive on his own. Luckily John was trained in evasion and survival by the 22nd Air Regiment as he was selected to tryout for the Regiment. John did get the nickname 'Ghost' from the evasion exercise as he manage to evade for the entire duration of the exercise and 3 extra hours. He was deemed to unstable for the regiment in the psych evaluation which ultimately lead him to failing the selection process. The training however had been drilled into him to the point he could never forget it.
