The character that I will be playing is Dean Rivers. He was a backyard gunsmith that modified weapons and produced ammunition in his free time. Dean Rivers was a Electrical Technician that traveled to Chernarus during the coal, gas, and mining boom. Dean traveled to Chernarus with his wife, Jen and his son, Jake. He was employed to make sure that the mining machinery was working properly at all times to keep the production up. His life was threatened many times by superiors to work faster. Dean had not worked on this type of machinery in the past so most of this was new to him. He was able to keep the machinery operating properly for the majority of the time but one of the superiors took action on Dean's family without informing Dean that his family's life was in his hands. The superior traveled to Dean's place of living and slaughtered his wife and son. When Dean traveled home that night, he opened the door to see his wife and son hanging on the wall with a note saying that he would be next. Dean immediately took action and brought his wife and son outside and buried two graves for them to lay peacefully. After this, Dean gathered a few of his weapons and enough ammunition to keep himself safe for a little while. He filled a hiking backpack with all of the belongings that he was taking with him. Dean then set up a few traps on his land before setting North. Dean never traveled far North before but after what he experienced, he knew that he had to leave and start over somewhere new. During his trip, he encountered wildlife and small farms. He would only kill what he would be able to eat and traveled light so he could travel a further distance without having to stop frequently. Once he got to a remote forest, he set up a tent and became disconnected from civilization. He slowly became weary that he was being hunted down. This caused him to be very weary of who he chooses to entrust his life with in the future. After travelling for a while up north, Dean came in contact with Draco. Draco has proven to be trustworthy with Dean's life and the both of them are currently good friends who are building a small settlement together. Draco is utilizing his language skills to create small friendships with others that we come across and direct situations to non-hostile. Dean is using his specialty in arms to help other survivors of the apocalypse with the use of their weapons. Dean and Draco have helped others learn how to un-jam their weapons and be able to differentiate which ammunition fits their weapons. Dean has also learned the basics of mechanics after a lot of time trying to repair vehicles to get them into an operating condition. Most of Dean's specialty in weapons has come from people that he used to work under in the past when he was a Electrical Technician. He would be one of the few workers that would be confronted about repairing weapons in the past including military-grade weaponry such as K-AM's and M4-A1's.  Dean is currently equipped with an M4-A1 and a Mosin 9130 although he prefers the semi-auto fire rate of the M4-A1 over the bolt-action of the Mosin 9130. Dean has encountered many people with a sickness that they say is just the flu but he keeps his distance and tries to talk from afar. If any sick survivor is to get too close and ignore warnings to stay back, Dean will shoot to injure. Shooting to kill is always a last resort.
