  7. Features
Dry wrinkled skin, now ashy with age compliments his sharp features. A chiseled nose, long jaw, and large ears, all shadow in comparison to his long, white, full, rounded beard. His beard looks good with his pale amber eyes and clipped hair, near bald. The first thing one notices about him, besides his size and age, is his rough sandpaper voice, tinted with an exaggerated, if true, proper English accent, contrasted with the voice of a habitual smoker.
  8. Equipment
A man with little technical or survivalist knowledge, Clyde has dedicated himself to combat and tactics. He carries a Sword for the image of the Knight as well as close quarters combat. Beyond that it's subject to change. Sir Constantine, The Knight focuses on heavy tactical gear and good weaponry, as it's difficult to see the old man beneath, the obvious threat of a man well armed. This allows him to offer service as protection, while subtly relying on the geographical, technical, and survival knowledge of others. Let him play the Knight so that they don't see his weakness and his age.
  9. Occupation
    Historian (Formerly), Knight (Current)
  10. Affiliation

Background

Wealthy background, good education strived for a PhD in European Medieval History.

Met his wife-to-be Delores in school, and found a kindred spirit who shared his deepest passions for history and understood it's glamour.

After many years they settled into their lives. Having achieved their academic goals, they went on to teach different aspects of Medieval history to different colleges. Clyde specialized in siege craft, warfare, politics, and national relations. Delores specialized in scientific discovery, art, religion, agriculture, and architecture specifically. Now comfortable with their stations in life they tried for a child, to teach them history and grant them an education to pursue their own passions.

Their plans halted indefinitely when after years of trying they discovered Clyde was infertile and would never bear children. They dwelled here for many years as Delores didn't want to go through artificial insemination and neither of them wanted to adopt, still holding to the fantasy of their own blood child.

Years past until they were both well passed fertility and were planning a trip to Nyheim to visit all the historical sights together. Just before plans were finalized, Delores adopted Elizabeth Tucker into the family in secret. Clyde was furious at first as, he didn't see how either of them at their age could deal with a child, but eventually he caved and began to raise her as his own.

They bonded before the trip over altered stories of warfare, neutered for child friendly ears. They always starred the noble Knight Sir Constantine, of the Round Table. The Knight would travel Europe, fighting "dragons" slinging solid lobs of fire and stone onto holdfasts, and rescuing princesses and other nobility from the clutches of invaders. He would tell her a mostly fictional story based off of the truth, always starring this character before bed and once after waking up.

The time came for the trip and they made it in 2019. They spent a long time visiting the sights and enjoying the countryside, immersing themselves in the culture of it's people. Past that though, Clyde did not like to think about it, or any of his past really. He didn't like to think about the borders closing, and seeking refuge like everyone else. Watching it fall and people kill each other for resources or food.

He and his family did find one camp, Clyde Justified his stay with his familiarity with hunting, as he did so recreationally since he was 14. He tried not to think about it but from this point on his past was seared behind his eyes, and alive within his waking dreams. He could never find peace when he closed his eyes and saw his wife fall ill, a new detriment to the group when she didn't recover. He dreamt of taking her away to some quiet, abandoned place to make sure she died comfortably, and peacefully. He remembered her face as she was not allowed to turn.

Clyde hated himself every night for leaving Elizabeth at the camp while he spent the weeks serving hospice care to his wife. He remembered the last thing he ever smelled being intense blood and smoke and the camp was ablaze upon his return. Everyone inside, despite his best efforts was dead. But not everyone was accounted for, his daughter and about 18 others had apparently evacuated before. So Clyde determined that they must be safe somewhere else, or at least seeking that safety.

Clyde Tucker then became Sir Constantine. It had been several years now since he saw his daughter, but he knew she would remember the tales of the selfless Knight, Sir Constantine, and remember it's personal significance to seek him out. Otherwise why would an old man like him still be alive? If his daughter did not hear of him and find him, just as he searched for her, why would he still live? A man his age had no right being alive after losing everything, letting it slip for his fingers. A man his age, would inevitably succumb to the new world if he didn't have a family out there somewhere. So why is he still alive?
