Born and raised in the UK, in an industrial city known as the Midlands. From a young age, living in poverty you had to fight to defend yourself and survive other kids who also had nothing. In school Matt excelled in Football, Boxing and everything to do with sports, whilst also gaining good grades at school, however, through school it was programmed to get a job in factories and as of the culture of the Midlands, He followed suit... by joining a factory for work. Later on, he then met his wife at 22 shortly after completing an apprenticeship, they had two children, daughters who are now 3 and 9, they had a perfect life just outside the industrial city living in the countryside in an old Victorian cottage which included a world war 2 air raid shelter/bunker. In the countryside Matt used to like to hunt, fish, forage and camp out in the wild with his family as survival become a hobby of Matts, they didn't see many people where they lived and was happy with nature only.
In his work life he progressed in the hierarchy with numerous promotions as a determined leader and it landed him a perfect job in travelling and seeing the world as a Mechanical Engineer inspecting and improving automotive parts.
This then led Matt till now...
Arriving in Nyheim was exciting as it was his second trip travelling in his new role, and this was a perfect opportunity to further his knowledge in vehicles, Matt had returned to his hotel room after a rather large stressful shift on his 4th day, he phoned Sarah and the kids and spoke with them before bed, Sarah explained she could see helicopters in the distance over the city with what looks to be large fires, but nothing was broadcasted on the news. After his phone call Matt went to sleep early but was suddenly awoken to large bangs and screaming outside his hotel, it look as though people were rioting and attacking each other. Matt quickly gathered his phone to ring Sarah but had noticed many missed calls, Matt phoned back, Sarah answered screaming saying turn on the news, so Matt did and there it was, the start of the apocalypse! The news shortly lost broadcast, phone signal was hazy, Matt sternly mentioned to Sarah, 'Plan A!!'. Plan A was Sarah and the kids to enter the bunker and don't come out until further notice, Phone then disconnected, line has gone down, he needs to get back to England quickly, supplies are only able to last a few months. Matt now enters his journey on getting home to his family....
