Born in Sydney, Australia, Claire grew up living the dream, spending as much of her spare time (and some time she should have been focusing on school) in the water, surfing her life away. She always felt at home with a board under her feet. As she grew older, she yearned for a change of scenery and so naturally she progressed from surfing to snowboarding. Years of surfing lent themselves well to snowboarding and after only a short while, she was pretty well-practiced. It took only a few seasons for her to realise that she could make a living during the winters as an instructor. Originally visiting Nyheim while working in the mountains as a snowboard instructor, Claire's season was cut short with the onset of... the event. Now doing what she needs to survive, Claire is finding a new definition of the word, 'gnarley...' Aside from teaching snowboarding, Claire also taught techniques on how to survive in various disaster situations in the mountains, ranging from how to survive an avalanche, to how to survive when lost in the mountainous wilderness after you've managed to survive an avalanche.
