Background
Mark Freeman was born in South Africa. He was top of his class in school and was a disciplined child. After finishing high school he enrolled in the Recce and then serviced in Israel. He served during the unrest in the Golan Heights. His time in SA Recce is classified, he never talks about it. He was trained to become a combat medic and saved many lives in South Africa and Israel. In 2000 he was honorarily discharged with the rank of Major.
He got married in the Czech Republic and had two girls. Mark tried to reintegrate himself into society but he wasn't able to. He tried working as a medic but he couldn't stand it and quit after a year. Mark wanted to return to his old life (missing the brotherhood, and the shared understanding of the nightmares) and use medical knowledge on the battlefield.
He landed military contract work in Europe. He was deployed in East Europe, Asia and the Americas. Eventually, finding himself in the region of Nyheim.
