Vic was born in Frankfurt, Germany, but moved to Poland with his parents as a child. His father had a shipping company and was a hunter by passion. He unsuccessfully tried to instill this passion into the young Vic, but the boy was more interested in new technology and deep sea diving.
They lived in a small town near Kołobrzeg and in Kołobrzeg Vic learned everything he knows about the depths, then as a teenager he studied marine biology and robotics in Gdańsk.
As an adult, he founded a startup that created unmanned research submarines, but soon after achieving professional success, pandemic times came and the world changed.
Now, while trying to survive and fleeing the big cities, Vic regrets not having spent as much time as his father wanted learning to hunt. He heard from refugees that the far north of Scandinavia is clean / infection-free (Some rumors about the Promised Land - mankind's only hope), so he took advantage of the fact that he had a boat that was used to launch submarines, Vic gathered a group of friends and headed north.
After reaching safe areas, they set up a small camp and soon found out that the grounds were no longer as safe as they had expected.
After less than a week of rest, the first of six friends was attacked by a bear and did not survive the meeting.
Two more died from pneumonia, and three more when trying to get medicines for the sick, from the city fifteen kilometers away from their camp.
It was then that Vic became convinced that, apart from the fact that the epidemic was permanently present in the larger cities, it was not the living dead that were the most to be feared.
He saw his last friends die at the hands of a gang of degenerates who considered the vicinity of the pharmacy their district.
Vic, as a person who has always appreciated peace and the company of friends, is now left alone and is looking for a shelter and a friendly soul.
Accustomed to the relative luxuries, Viktor is forced to learn to live in the wild.
After what he was a witness to, he has little confidence in people and tries to watch them for long hours before making contact.
At the moment, for almost a week he has been watching someone who seems to him as fresh in the existing reality as he himself - maybe together they will survive in the new world.
