The late John Fontaine excelled in everything he did. He once rebuilt an old car his great grandfather had given him. He could stitch a man up and have him on his feet a week later. He could rationalize the biggest fears away in a matter of minutes. It almost felt as though he knew everything-- even before it came to be. To a young Beatrice, he was akin to a super hero. It was no surprise, then, that Beatrice followed in her old man's footsteps. As soon as she came of age, she joined the French Armed Forces and later the French Defence Health Service. Like her father-- and in some parts due to his influence-- she worked hard and attained the rank of Médecin within the FDHS. A joint operation with NATO was perfect for continuing her career. Beatrice did not, however, anticipate the nightmare of Chernarus. Her meager group of ten that touched ground found themselves overrun within the week and Beatrice was left to fend for herself in an unforgiving, unfamiliar land.
