Baldrick Cobb was one of the first foreign feet on the ground with the NATO forces as protection for the failed UN aid attempts to quell the outbreak and assist the desperate citizens of Chernarus. Upon arrival Baldrick was overwhelmed by the severity of the situation and knew that the UN's attempt at providing for these people was futile for the number of refugees astonished him. To Baldrick's word the medication, water and food didn't stretch very far and it didn't take long before their desperation turned to violence and the camp was overrun.
During the chaos of the riot Baldrick was separated from the foreign presence in Chernarus and found himself amongst the sea of refugees alone with nobody that could understand him and word soon followed that the Military response to the mysterious infection had been a complete failure and the dawning realisation that he was alone here sunk deep in his heart. He stayed with the herd of refugees for a while but realised he was getting no help from the fellow survivors, the last person they would share their food with was a foreigner and understood that if he didn't look after himself nobody would.
For many months Baldrick survived by any means on the streets of Chernarus doing whatever it took to get by. This blunted him and made him cold in his approach to survival. He hurt, stole and killed in his interactions with people, mostly deserving but sometimes committing acts only the power of hunger can bring out of mankind. Knowing his life on Chernarus was running out of luck he fixed up a boat found on the eastern coast and left Chernarus for many months in search of something more promising.
It has been months since Baldrick has seen the dull grey landscape of Chernarus but something has brought him back over the black sea to the land he'd hoped to forget.
