Before the outbreak Const. Edward Marlow was a small town man who excelled in his occupation as an officer
of the Chernarus Police Service, though being tasked with monitoring small villages for most of his career it was a steady paying
and relatively calm and enjoyable job that granted him some free time to enjoy a few outdoor activities such as hiking and fishing.
During the first day of the outbreak Marlow was unaware as to what exactly was happening due to many of the radios waves quickly being
silenced to avoid causing panic amongst the populace, thinking nothing of this he would return to his isolated home in the woods leaving his
work attire to embark on a hiking trip across the rolling hills and dense forest. Initially coming across an empty vehicle along a dirt trail
it would soon spiral out of control as columns of smoke, military aircraft and gunfire could be seen and heard echoing out from the large urban
center of Chernogorsk. Rushing home to retrieve his firearm only to find it, along with many of his belongings including his car had been stolen.
With no other options Marlow would soon find himself wandering the countryside in search of an escape of the ever so changing region that was
being ravaged by an unknown pathogen. With weeks having passed after the first infection Marlow can be found still exploring the now abandoned
cities, villages and townships of Chernogorsk with the simple goal of making it through to the next day which so many others had failed to accomplish.
