Riley’s home life was less than ideal growing up. Her father drank heavily, leaving her and her mother to endure the consequences night after night. When she was 18, she met a man named Aleks. He was Chernarussian, dark and mysterious and 6 years older. He swept her off her feet, rescuing her from her broken home. He showed her a life of luxury and cared for her in a way she so desperately craved. Riley devoted herself to pleasing him, following his every instruction without question. She became the face of his hunting adventure company, liaising with clients, arranging trips and coordinating with various contacts to facilitate smooth transactions. By the time Riley realised the more sinister intentions of Aleks, as well as his business associate Carter Murdock and his wife Jordan, she was in too deep to really just walk away. Instead, she embraced her role, proving herself to be a useful asset in the business. Together they travelled extensively, offering hunting safaris as a front to smuggle weapons. Chernarus was prime for exploitation considering the constant conflicts and lack of regulations, and this ultimately resulted in the four being stranded here as the infection hit. Aleks remained in Chernogorsk, plotting a means of escape, while Carter and Riley explored the country gathering supplies, information and allies. Returning to Aleks each night, Riley maintained the trust and devotion of her husband while nurturing the friendship she shares with Carter during the day.
