Born and raised in the Netherlands, William joined the airforce for a couple of years before returning to civilian life. There he had a number of odd jobs before the trouble started in Chernarus. as the news of this seemingly unimportant dicease spread to the media, a friend of William asked him if he could join a privately set up aid program for the victims. And so he was the flight engineer of the civilian chinook bound to bring supplies and medical personal to Chernarus. However they never arrived as engine malfuction (weither this was a defect or caused by shots is unknown) the civilian chinook crash landed in the forests close to Chernarus. With several dead and wounded, a temporary base was set up to wait for rescue forces, however as the panic of the infected spread, no rescue was coming and soon the survivors of the helicopter crash would realise this so called unimportant dicease was the one that changed their lives. As the supplies ran dry the group of survivors split up, but eventually those in William's group met their fate, except for William, who managed to survive, mostly spending his time in the deeper forests, and now he has found his way in Chernarus.
