Born in the mid-80s to a criminal cowboy and a burlesque dancer, Shane was the dream child that saved his parents from a life of debauchery, crime, and tragedy. His father, Joshua, changed his ways and became a private investigator, while his mother, Elizabeth, took up various jobs like waiting tables in restaurants and cleaning homes for the rich. They did it all to ensure that Shane would have the best upbringing they could give him, but all their hard work never paid off as their darling son chose a life of crime over education.
Very early on in his life, Shane found that he could earn money by running deliveries around for people he knew. From age 6 he ran errands for his parents and neighbors, and when he hit 8 he began branching out, setting up deals at school and running messages between teenage lovers during classes. His ability to charm the teachers made sure he rarely got told off for taking a bit longer than expected on his bathroom breaks, and the few times he did get caught he would succesfully talk his way out of it.
Once his teenage years set in, his services caught the attention of less reputable people, and on his 15th birthday he ran his first drug delivery. Though more nervous than usual, it didn't truly intimidate him to move around with narcotics; It was just another delivery after all. From there on out, Shaun ran whatever needed running. Messages, scrap metal, stolen DVDs, drugs, guns, it never really mattered to him as long as he got to travel around as he pleased.
At 32, Shaun still ran the same racket, but he now travelled the world with his deliveries. His connections ran deep, and as far as he knew he had been able to stay out of the looking glass of the ATF and DEA. This helped him navigate his way into Russia for a meeting with a cold war military official sitting on a stock of AK-74 automatic rifles that had buyers waiting in South Zagoria. He had heard mention of a low level arms dealer in South Zagoria named Adam, and aimed to get in contact with him to ease his journey over the border. With a bit of hard work and charm, he managed to get a hold of the man and set up a meeting. The two agreed that enough trust was there to make the deal work, and with that Shane made his way across the border with a truckload of automatic rifles.
Since then it's been a matter of survival. The infection gripped South Zagoria with an iron fist, and chaos has ruled ever since. Gangs and various groups and factions made the area a constant war zone, and though a bit of war was bad for business, Shane much preferred living in a world where he wouldn't be shot or eaten at every turn of a corner. Left little choice, however, he resigned to South Zagoria being his home for the time being, and began looking for ways to ply his trade. Messages and parcels surely still needed delivering, and who better to do it than Shane himself.
