Born July 5th, 1987, Shawn Warren was raised in the suburbs of Montreal. Shawn's parents worked and got them by pay check to pay check, his father a mechanic and his mother a nurse. At the age of 12 Shawn would enlist in the Royal Canadian Air Cadets and develop a strong interest in air craft and the art of flying. At the age of 18 he received his private pilots license through a summer intern program free of charge through the cadet program. Upon graduating from highschool it was a matter of days before Shawn decided to enlist in the Canadian Armed Forces. The aptitude test was brutal, but the list of jobs qualified for was vast. It was a no brainer, 4 years at Seneca college in order to become an air force pilot. After completion of his training he specialized in Helicopter flight, with over 1000 hours in the CH-124 SeaKing Helicopter. Shawn had been putting in flight hours in Canada's Sea King replacement the Sikorski CH-148 Cyclone when he was assigned to the HMCS Winnipeg as one of her several pilots. HMCS Winnipeg departed Vancouver on route to the NATO fleet. As she joined the task force they were assigned to the Green Sea but the plans changed fairly quick and the fleet was routed to Chernarus. On the morning of July 20th, Shawn was given his mission, fly his new Heli over Chernogorsk and search for survivors in the over run shambles of a town, then proceed to Zelenogosk and continue the effort. As Shawn and his crew were departing and heading back for a refuel at HMCS Winnipeg and to debug some troubling handling issues, Shawn and his crews shiny new Cyclone experienced a catastrophic failure and sets down hard 200 meter outside of Kozlovka. His crew dead, his method of travel destroyed, this is the beginning of Shawn's survival in the Zed ravished hellhole of Chernarus.
