Background
Fisherman from Norway, he's the son of a ship captain who drove freighter and other vessels across the Atlantic. He would not be present for a lot of Kris' youth. Once he grew older he found out he had a half brother from the US that he's currently living with in Norway. They both work as fisherman. They're only now returning back to mainland after being out fishing and traveling to isolated areas.
During his childhood Kris was always confident in himself and knew what he wanted to do. He had always joined his father on boating trips and would go fishing. That stuck with him and he would only be working towards that goal. When he finally came of age to own a boat, his father would help him fund his first little ship. It wasn't much but it got the job done. He would still be quite busy with school so he couldn't make it a full time job. Once he became 21 years old he would move to Øksfjord in the northern part of Norway and start his fisherman journey. A few years later in the later part of 2019 he found out his father had cheated many years ago and that he had a half brother in the US called Foster. Instead of being upset about this Kris was actually excited to find out he had somewhat of a brother. He would almost immediately reach out to him and chatted with him. They quickly bonded over having the same interests in life and kept talking to each other regularly. in march of 2021 Kris proposed to his brother that they could be fisherman together and wanted Foster to come live with him in Øksfjord.
Foster gladly accepted and so they lived together and were like real brothers.
Once they got back to the mainland in Finnmark, they immediately noticed that something was very wrong. They'd heard about an outbreak of disease and how it had affected the world, but for the most part they had no clue what they were getting into. The town of Øksfjord was ravaged and it seemed like a desolate place. Once they got closer to the dock they noticed figures that were shambling about and they quickly realized that something had happened to the local populace. Wanting to stay away from and infected people and staying clear of any danger they decided to head further inland before docking. But unfortunately their gas
wouldn't last too much longer and they had to dock a decent bit before their preferred destination. Nonetheless they managed to find a car that was usable at a local farm and headed towards Alta to see if there was any help to get. They drove for a few hours along country roads until they got to Alta. Once there they quickly realized there was no help there either. Zombies roamed the streets in high numbers and there seemed to be no refuge from them. Instead Kris and Foster decided to head towards another large city in the north called Nyheim. It was a decent drive to get there, the car had ran out of gas shortly before
they got to the borders of the town, but they got there in the end. Now they will need to look for refuge in this new area...
