Background
Johann Hansen was born on the 20th of May 1985 in Hamburg to a German father and a Norwegian mother.
He had a normal childhood upbringing and. He visited his mothers extended family in Norway nearly every year of his early life but never managed to learn the Norwegian language himself.
He finished the German high school equivalent with straight A's in 2003 and tried to study buisness Informatics in Hamburg. He lost interest after just 2 years and started an IT training at his local computer store instread.
He finished his IT training in 2008 but wasn't able to find a job due to the 2008 financial crisis. He had no job for roghly one year and used his time to make a German hunting license.
After he finished his hunters training in the summer of 2009 he made his hobby his job and became a professional hunter and firearms instructor.
He worked in the hunting sector for 10 years, traveling all over Europe.
In 2015, during a hunting trip in Chernarus, a inexperienced hunter cunfused Johann, who was slowly moving through tough thicket, for bird and shot at him with birdshot. Luckily the hunter was so inexperienced that only a few pellets hit the right side of his face. The wounds were minor and healed up quickly.
He was visiting his maternal grandparents in Trondheim when the pandemic hit Norway. He decided it would be in his families best interest, when he stayed with his grandparents and took care of them.
He sneaked out of his house on the 12th of September, informing his grandparents that he planned to make a 4 day hunting trip through the local woods. He returend home after hearing about the chaos in the cities but his grandparents were already gone. He left the city in a hurry, only taking a small backpack with food, his smartphone, and his rifle with him. He only had 5 shots left, which he spent all to hunt for food. On the 31th of October he got mugged by 3 men who stole everything he had but his clothes. They were nice enough to inform him about the PLIKT live stream. Johann decided that he could perhaps travel to Nyheim, where he hoped to perhaps find his grandparents.
After a long trip full of hardship and fear, Johann reached the Nyheim gates on the 17th of November.
He spent the next weeks waiting in front of the gates, pleading to the guards for food and hoping to be let inside.
Johann Hansen, hungry and desperate, was one of the few refugees who where allowed to enter Nyheim on December 3rd.
He has neither found his grandparents, nor has he heared from his parents in Germany.
Johann left the town of Nyheim on December 17th, just two weeks after he was let in, because he was unable to find his greandparents. He left the relative safety of the town for the remote areas of the surrounding woods and villages, where he tries to survive on a 'hunter and gatherer' lifestyle. He hopes that his outdoor skills will feed him better than the mere rations given out in the city.
He hunts for small animals and fishes in local rivers and ponds, with the help of selfmade tools like spears or traps, sometimes with success and sometimes with none.
Johann has lost roughly 20kg of weight since he left Trondheim.
