Background
Born to an American father and Norwegian mother near the border of Norway and Nyheim. His father was stranded in Norway when everything broke down during the plague, he was part of the American forces helping Norway. Gunnar was trained by his father and his mother. His mother grew up in northern Norway hunting, fishing, snow shoeing, camping, and working with her father on the dairy farm her family has had for many years. Gunnars parents have passed and Gunnar is trying to find purpose in his life beyond living. He was trained in the basics for firearm care and use, learned to live in northern Norway from his mother, and loves this land as only someone born here could. He speaks English, understands Swedish (his father was not overly fluent and his mother spoke excellent English, so it was the language most used in his house.) Gunnar lived with his parents and continued living there for about 6 months after his mother passed (his father died when he was 17). He tried to continue on with living in the middle of the forest in Norway, but found that he craved human contact (he had some interaction with his neighbors who all lived miles away, but all of them were older and any that had been around his age had moved on or died). Gunnar thought he had something to offer a potential mate. his mother always wanted grandkids. Gunnar carefully made his way to Nyheim to find friends, a group, and to just try and live.
