Boone Ashford who is a widower, lost his wife to rare medical condition unfounded in his communities after AVM-FLA-19 outbreak, he felt helpless as he did not know how to help or get care for his wife due to hospitals being over whelmed with patients; those with the AVM took priority over any other type of medical surgical needs. 

After losing his wife Boone decided to join a militia looking to help bring back some sense of structure with medical and communities working together – but once the National guard took over, not only using lethal force to stop militia, they sequesters homes and pushed those away who were not aligning with the Presidents executive order.

Boone and a few others decided to board a boat in Boston Harbor and head out to the seas in hopes of maybe finding a place to call home without martial law and death of innocents.

During the year on the water Boone spent a lot of time learning a variety of medicines from growing herbs in the greenhouse from the boats Doctor who took Boone under his wings to teach him all he could about the medical industry and taking care of different ailments.   After awhile the doctor started to get sick and there was no equipment on the boat that could perform the proper surgeries and Boone having not enough knowledge was left helpless. 

After sometimes the doctor had passed away and Boone had took his place.  Boone continued to read the books on medicine and tried to educate himself the best he could.  He was told once they landed in a port to keep his professional concealed for the fear he would be taken as a hostage to care for those against his will. 

Boones next journey was about to begin as his boat was looking to port in Nyheim….
