In the days of destruction and chaos where anything could happen, did you ever stop once to think that maybe you loved someone or vice versa? Your friends, your family, that stupid little teddy bear that your grandma made for you when you were but a small child? The end of the world is upon you and you stand there quaking in your boots, sobbing like a baby as a man has you against the wall rummaging through your belongings.
Chell stared bleary eyed and silent, her bottom lip trembled as she would be robbed at gunpoint. She had a big gun but her captor was a big man, and she had no guts to fight back. The man leaves with everything he needed, chuckling darkly and keeping her cuffed to a post with the key on the floor.
Always compliant, Chell is a vulnerable target when it comes to hostilities. She almost always complies in any situation even when she would outnumber the hostiles- a complete coward. She is easily manipulated, the opposing force would find it easy to make her obey like a dog. She'll do anything to find safety and sanctuary, whether that means working for the right people or the wrong people.
How did she get here? And why...?
Chell initially had come over with her parents who had wanted to immigrate from Britain, they'd lived there for a good year or so prior to the outbreak, still sorting their migration process and residing in the quiet small village of Tulga- surrounded by trees and nature it was quite the sanctuary to Chell. She enjoyed the rural environment far more than the urban due to her lacking social skills and poor understanding of the language as of then.
During the initial outbreak the family of 3 would stay in their house, sheltering themselves from whatever was going on out there. It didn't take long for Chell's parents to decide that they would need to venture out into the open. Not being prepared, they had not stocked food that lasted more than a week, and so they set out, leaving Chell at home in charge of keeping the place in working order. Like any tragic story, her parents did not return. She stayed there a half week before deciding that it was time to venture out into the unknown.
