Jack was born in Estonia to an American father and an Estonian mother, in the capital city of Tallinn. He was never a good kid, always getting into trouble with various acts, that said he still managed to finish high school and even went to college. It didn't take long for him to fall out of college, he only managed to complete the first semester and then he joined the army. In the army, Jack managed to make trouble anyway but the commanding officers saw his skills in handling long-lasting and difficult tasks without any complaint, only when he did them alone.
When the Russians invaded Finland he joined some of the voluntary people to help Finland in its defense.
