Background
Ryan Davis had a fascination with rules from a young age. Not just rules imposed on him, but rules in general. Rules of math. Rules of science. Rules of nature. He found it important that he understood how and why things worked. He liked the binary nature of rules: certain things work and others don't. Certain things are right and others are wrong. Unfortunately for him, as he got older he found out that everything wasn't always black and white. He found himself in situations where people were hurt, and it was unclear who was at fault. This wasn't fair. This wasn't what he wanted out of life. He started putting more and more time into researching why things were the way they were, why the social rules and laws we have were put there in the first place. That was when Ryan realized that he wanted to be a lawyer. There were so many interesting rules and laws for him to unpack, and, more than that, he could then use his knowledge of the system to help people. Ryan went to The College of New Jersey, graduating with a Bachelors in Philosophy at the age of 22. He aced the LSAT, and started attending Harvard Law School. Two years into his time at Harvard was when the AVM-FLA-19 virus first hit. He graduated from Harvard Law School in 2020. After a lot of work, Ryan was able to start his own law company, Davis Law LLC, in early 2021. After a successful first few months of business, Ryan thought he deserved a vacation in early September. Ryan flew out to Nyheim, Norway, where he hoped to enjoy a calm getaway. Once again, life let Ryan down. Now that Ryan finds himself in a shattered world, he hopes that maybe his understanding of the functionality of rules in a society can help rebuild what little is left.
