A barely-trained infantry soldier of the US Army, Dick was stationed at Rammstein when the world went to shit and the dead started walking. As discipline broke down, he packed a bag and started hiking north, intent on getting as far away from civilization as possible. Finding his military training to be half-useless, he fell back on the woods-knowledge he gained as a child in central Texas, following game trails and taking food as he found it. Now on the outskirts of Nyheim, he begins scouting for like-minded survivors.
