The Generic Part
John was born in Philidelphia on September 9, 1993. His parents didn't have too much money, but he had an average childhood. At 12 his parents moved him to upstate Pennsylvania where he would excel in school and find a new love in history. He would spend hours every night reading everything he could about the Renaissance, The Industrial Revolution, The Great Depression, and the World Wars. He always loved hearing stories from his great grandfather, a British pilot in WWII. Eventually, this would lead him to another major influence in his life, aviation. When he was 15, his great grandfather passed away, giving John his RAF Insignia from the war and assuring him that he would do great things one day. This heavily effected John, and once he was old enough, and with enough begging to his parents, he was able to get his pilot's license just before graduating high school. After graduating, and with no real aim in life, John unfortunately decided to take up a life of crime as a drug smuggler, flying meth, cocaine, and heroine to and from different locations around the world. This would eventually lead him to Chernarus, where he just happened to be flying to with a shipment when everything started.
Meeting the Locals
When everything started, John was staying at a makeshift smuggler's camp North of Devil's Castle when reports came in of infected taking to the streets. His first instinct was of course to get the hell out of the country in his plane, which was in a field long enough to take off from next to the camp, but some of the other smuggler's convinced him it'd be suicide as he'd probably at least get apprehended by the military, if not just immediately shot down. While he wasn't happy about it, he would be stuck in the shit hole of the Eastern Bloc for the foreseeable future. After a few days, the camp was overrun by the infected, and John barely escaped with his life. After wandering for days, drinking out of ponds and slowly dying of starvation, he met Isaac, a disgruntled CDF Captain who would become his closest friend. Isaac and his men took John in, and allowed him to travel with them as they patrolled the countryside looking for infected and bandits to take care of. Eventually however, inner conflicts in the CDF that John really didn't understand (or care about for that matter) led to Isaac and his men breaking away from the CDF and fighting a gorilla war against them. Having developed a loyalty to the angry Slavic Captain, John stayed with Isaac for his entire "campaign" against the CDF, at a few points even killing a few of the Chernarussian soldiers himself. There would be various firefights and words thrown back and forth, but eventually what was left of the CDF dissolved, and John lived in relative peace for a few months as he traveled with Isaac from town to town, meeting locals and finding supplies. One day however, while looting buildings in Stary Yar, John was taken by a group of men while he searched a part of the town alone.
12 Days a Slave
John was taken by his unknown captors South until they reached the city of Chernogorsk. There, he was taken into a cell at the police station near the center of town where the men had made a makeshift camp. When he tried to talk to the men they simply screamed at him in what appeared to be Russian. (Fuck if he knows, all the shitty Slavic languages sound the same) After a few days with barely any food or water given to him, John was tied up and introduced to their leader. He was a tall man with a shaved head, and he talked with a certain gruffness even for a Russian.
"Can you work?", he said in broken English.
"Nah, I'm a lazy prick and I don't work for Bond Villains", John sarcastically replied.
The man thought for a minute, pacing back and forth, with a pistol in his hand.
Turning toward one of his men, he spouted something in Russian and John was taken outside where a truck was waiting with what appeared to be another group of men he hadn't seen from his cell before. After these new men spoke a few words with his original captors, John was handed over to the new group and shoved in the back of the truck. Sitting across from what appeared to be another pissed off Russian, this time with an AK in his hands, John tried to inquire about what was happening to him.
The man simply looked at John with a blank expression and said, "You...slave now".
John rolled his eyes and gritted his teeth, obviously upset by the less than ideal situation he know realized he was in. Luckily, fate would be on his side, as on the way to the farm, or plantation, or wherever the fuck these Russian hicks planned on taking him, the pickup they were in broke down in the town of Balota, just West of Chernogorsk. While John was told to simply sit in the back and wait while the driver and the man who was guarding him looked under the hood, dozens of infected started to surround the truck. The two Russians, now visibly panicked, slammed the truck hood down and started to drive through the horde of infected. Realizing that this was his only chance, John jumped out of the back of the truck, running through dozens of infected while his captors didn't wanna risk trying to capture him again. After cutting off the ties on his hands in a knife he found in a nearby house, John rested a while before heading out to find supplies, as now his objective was to find Isaac and get back up North.
