Background
Konstantin grew up in Saint Petersburg, his father a factory worker and his mother a nurse. Being an only child with both parents working long hard hours left little time to devote properly to their only son, let alone together. While he was certainly not poor growing up, it left the young boy with a yearning for more, for a connection or a brotherhood he could be apart of. After a series of jobs in his growing youth, Konstantin joined the Russian military at a younger age and found despite its flaws it was what felt 'right'. Serving for a number of years faithfully, he threw himself into his work with a ferocity that would have made his parents proud. Dedicated to a fault, his life was the military both in accomplishing the mission but also attempting to fix things he saw as broken or detrimental to further successes.
A number of years later Konstantin transferred into the Federal Security Service or Russia's FSB, a successor to a number of other organizations that focused on counter terrorism, boarder security, counter-intelligence and surveillance. Here he once more strove for excellence in all things, though when the world began to fall apart and his unit was ravaged by months and months of fighting, he along with several others were rolled into a newly formed task force to establish a foothold in the Norway with goals of looking to the future after the infection. Task Force Aurora was a mix of FSB, SVR, GRU agents all with sufficient operating experience to undergo such an mission for a long period, unsupplied by the greater Russian government and without higher authority. It was a great risk, but as far as the Russian Government was concerned, while everyone was busy dealing with their own apocalypses, few would notice or even be able to do anything should Russia make proper strives to expanding its dominion.
