Background
Olivia had all her life been drawing and writing stories. She enjoyed placing herself in a fictional world where she could hide in. The walls of her childhood room had been covered in paintings, you could barely see the wallpaper underneath.
When she was 16 she moved together with her father to London. Her uncle and father had always dreamed about starting up their own business. They were photographers and now when they had enough money saved up they were gonna give it a go. Olivia had always been her fathers motive of choice whenever they would travel the world.
After Olivia's 18th birthday her father had sat her down to talk about her mother. Now when she was old enough, he thought she deserved to know the truth. He told her that her mother had passed away due to mental health issues. One day when Olivia was only one year old. He had come home from work and found his wife lying dead next to Olivia.
She had overdosed on sleep medication. That this wasn't the first time he had found her lifeless but that sadly this had been the last time. Her mother was diagnosed with schizophrenia but when she was on her medication they had it under control. But she must have stopped taking her medication. Doctors had thought that she must have convinced herself that he didn't need them anymore.
This shocking news opened up Olivia to a whole new world. She started to research psychology and her interest in helping people started to grow. Taking up different internships at rehab centers for addicts. Started a blog where she wrote stories about addiction in hope to reach out to anyone who might need help.
When she was 22 she got into a nurse education in London where she met Debbie Grey. They quickly become friends and Olivia got to see first hand how Debbies love life quickly rose and fell. They had always joked that they were destined to be married together and live long and happy lives together. Debbie might just not realise that for Olivia it was more serious rather than a joke. For the way she feels about Debbie she had never felt for anyone else.
Graduating it was sad to see Debbie move away. Olivia on other hand carried on her life invested in her work. Helping young people out of addiction. Having on foot in the medical world was to great advantage when the word of the pandemic started to spread in 2019. Olivia, her father and uncle decided to move back to Sweden to be with the rest of their family. Helping out in a small local hospital making due with what they had available.
In early 2021 Olivia received an official letter from Dr. Dylan Godard and WHO. He writes that they are putting together a medical team to help out in a location in Norway. It's Debbie Grey who has recommended Olivia. Her heart skipped a beat. The chance to see her beloved Debbie again. She accepted straight away and packed her hiking backpack. Got into her rusty truck to make her way over the Norwegian to Nyheim.
