Dave Lewis came to Nyheim with his wife and two kids from their hometown of Stockholm, Sweden. When the world ended they survived on farming and local hunting and had a decent business going as a local provider of produce and meats. Sadly the world eventually took his whole family away from him one by one and he is now the only survivor of the Lewis family.
He’s been making do as a lone wanderer occasionally teaming up with random strangers, mostly trying to keep his head low and not get into conflict. As a skilled tracker and hunter he is able to find food for himself as well as do legitimate trading with other survivors. He is known in Nyheim as a reputable individual that will try to seek understanding and compromise before aggression and conflict. The environment might be harsh but if we work together we can restore and maintain a decent society with what’s left.
The morals of the world are deteriorating but if we don’t try to keep our humanity intact, then we are all doomed anyway. He understands not everyone shares this sentiment and tries to stay away from those who don’t.
