Two months into my year-long stay in Nyheim, the outbreak started. I was on a business trip for Google to oversee the new creation of some data centers in Nyheim. My late wife Shannon, was visiting for the week when the apocalypse started. I loved my wife, she was my soulmate in the hellish facade that this world seems to have become. Unfortunately, she had been bitten by one of those things and she took her life in the middle of the night. I woke up to find her lying on the ground, with a picture of myself and our kids. That day was the worst day of my life, the only thing that kept me from joining her and leaving this hell is the possibility my kids are still alive back in California. Right now, they are the only thing that is keeping me alive and strong. I'm trying to find a way out of Nyheim and back to the United States, but the longer I wait, the more it seems I will never get to leave this place. The last I heard of an escape, was a man near the airfield who is offering flights out of Nyheim, but no one has heard from him since. That flight is my only hope of living and seeing my kids.
