Liza was born in West Virginia to poor parents in a dying town. Growing up, she always sought a way out, wishing to travel and see the world, but saw no feasible way to do so. Her pseudo-religious parents instilled in her a firm belief in the paranormal and belief in her own abilities as a medium, taking after her mother, a phone line medium of moderate success. She was convinced that she could see, hear, and communicate with spirits around her, but strangely, her abilities subsided when she was temporarily prescribed aripiprazole, so she dropped the medication. She used these "abilities" growing up to make a quick buck for her family off of neighbors and friends. Liza met her soon to be best friend Lizie in high school, finding a shared interest in exploring deserted homes and the paranormal. Seeing the success of televised ghost hunting, they decided to start up their own YouTube channel, Paranormal Adventures with Liz and Liza, chasing the same views and thrills as seen on TV. Surprisingly, they found moderate success, growing to over 100k subscribers within two years, and decided to drop out of high school soon after to chase their dreams. 

Lizie and Liza toured the US on their (limited) YouTube money, seeking out haunted locations and thrills, constantly growing an promoting their channel. Soon, the content in the US dried up, and they launched their Europe Ghost Tour series in 2017 on Apple TV, simultaneously running Paranormal Adventures with behind the scenes content and extra footage. They filmed their paranormal encounters throughout their tour of Europe, from haunted WW2 trenches to abandoned castles. Lizie and Liza were in the Norwegian leg of their tour when the end of the world happened around them, but rather than disappointment, the pair saw this as an opportunity for incredible footage and true credibility. Seeing the dead walking around them solidified their belief in the dead they cannot see. They used their limited hunting skills from growing up in rural West Virginia, and a lot of luck, to evade and defeat the infected in their paths. They continue to travel and film, currently in the Nyheim region, building up a bank of footage for their triumphant return once the world goes back to normal.
