Maxim Tjukin was born in Russia. He immigrated to Estonia for the better living conditions. Maxim married a Russian woman in Estonia. They had 3 children and a dog, but Maxim's job as a engineering teacher wasn't paying enough to feed their family so he went to Norway Nyheim for work. He started teaching in a school in Nyheim. But when the infection and the Chernarussian civil war started, he couldn't go back to his family in Estonia. But even after the Chernarussian civil war he couldn't go visit his family. When the public opinion shifted towards supporting the independence of Nyheim, at the start, Maxim didn't like the idea. He didn't like that riots began in the streets as he was scared, that the riots would delay him going to visit his family. But when Russia announced its support for Nyheim’s independence he was happy, because he thought he could finally go to Estonia to pay a visit to his loved ones. But before he could do that a joint military exercise between Sweden, Norway, the United States, and the United Kingdom was held just outside the borders of Nyheim, so traveling wasn't a possibility. He sent an uncountable amount of letters to his family, but he doesn't even know if they reached them. After the infection got into Nyheim, Maxim has been trying to survive. He is friendly to other friendly survivors, but he trusts no one.
