Nathan is from the South Eastern United States. Growing up as a child, his grandfather would take him hunting and fishing, showing him how to gather, harvest, and cook his own food. This quickly started a passion for cooking. Nathan was always somewhat quiet and reserved, and kept mostly to himself. After high school Nathan went to college to become a chef. He finished at the top of his class. Soon after, he was hired as the personal chef for a high profile politician named Walter Cannon. This allowed him to travel the country and even the world as Walter was extremely picky about his food and would always bring him along in his travels. Nathan was flying with the Walter to a small, practically unknown country named Nyheim for peace talks when the outbreak began. The plane unexpectedly hit some turbulence and seemingly "fell out of the sky" and crashed into a hillside. There were no immediate known survivors except Nathan. The only thing is that that Walter was nowhere in the mangled wreckage of the plane. Nathan now carries out his days in search of the missing politician Walter.
