Kyle was born St. John's, Newfoundland. He was born into a family of four. His Father (Johnathon), Mother (Heidi) and his younger brother (Riley). As a child Kyle grew up with his friends playing army in the woods of Newfoundland, building forts, and learning the basics of survival. By age 15 Kyle was given the Rank of "eagle scout". At 16 he met the love of his life Dominique who he later went on to marry in life.
At age 18 Kyle enlisted into the Canadian military. He enlisted into Sniper training, and was top of his class. It was here he was given the name "Lucky". All of his class mates thought it was luck that he scored perfect test scores, and performed the best when it came to target shooting.
By age 22 Kyle was a sergeant in the Canadian Special Operations Regiment. He was given time off after his 3rd tour in Iraq. Delta squad was on a special operation in Fallujah to secure a small river outside of town so the engineers could get in safely to get a bridge up... Kyle and his scout sniper Master Corporal. Matthew Mueller where set up taking insurgents out 1 by 1 while they tried to run across the streets and assault our convoys and set down IED's. Here's were everything went to shit. The insurgent General ordered a massive attack on the building that Delta was hunkered down in... The 50 cal was running out of ammo fast and the building was getting rushed... Sgt. Vaters had to act fast, He set up an m110 semi automatic DMR and started unleashing rounds into the groups of Insurgents. It was Kyle who saved many lives on that day. But he had to take many as well, and the faces of the men he killed will haunt him. Kyle unleashed over 200 rounds of 7.62×51mm rounds that day, and it is confirmed that he killed over 127+ insurgents driving them back saving the lives of the Delta squad members.
When Kyle returned home he was never the same as he left. He was never diagnosed with PTSD, but he always remembers the faces, at night in his sleep. He relives that day. He relives all those faces.
Sgt. Vaters volunteered and called back into service after the out break in Chernarus. He was sent in as a one man team to scout the area to find out exactly what was going on and to see if he was able to help out the populace in anyway. Even if that meant training civilians to fend for themselves. But sadly Kyle is now in danger himself. He is stuck in Chernarus until he can find a way out himself, or the Canadian Military is able to get him out. For now he is trying to survive, then he will find a way to get out of that god damn hell whole he has called home for over a year.
Talking a lot (Kyle is shy and people find him different, so he isn't that talkative)
