Matouš Sobecki is an 85 year old retired bus driver who lived all his life in the South Zagoria region in Chernarus. He started working as a bus driver at the age of 18, and worked fully active as a bus driver up until his retirement at 72 years old. Matouš had a normal family life with his wife and children, and never really bothered with any politics or fighting. He served his mandatory service in the army when he was young, but his passion was always his job. In his spare time he spent time hunting in the wilderness of Chernarus. During his life he was fortunate enough to have two children and more grandchildren. Two of whom he still is connected to even after the horrible outbreak of the Frenzied Flu.
Matouš is now a very old man. He can not run, he can not fight. He lives with his grandchildren, Jaroslav and Juri, telling stories of the old times when things were much better. He is among the few elderly that has survived the outbreak and the following months after.
